ACCCG a mistake?.....

I disagree that it would have to be in a dome. It just needs to be somewhere more centralized for ACC schools. My thoughts are FedEX Stadium (Washington DC), M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore), or BofA Stadium (Charlotte).

Of those three, DC strikes me as the most "neutral". Plus, there are plenty of hotels and secondary amenities in the area. Go to the ACCCG and then take in a bit of the Smithsonian or tour the National Mall while you're in town.

I like law_bee's idea for the venue of the ACCCG. However, that would never happen unfortunately due to $$$.

Charlotte is the best choice for the game. It is the most central big city in the ACC footprint. The game would sell out most years in NC.

I like DC (or Baltimore), but I don't know how well the locals would support that game. If all else fails, we can just start rotating the game between GT, Maryland, and Miami stadiums.

Charlotte would sell out simply because the city would take the lead in making sure it happened. As others have mentioned, it's closer to all but the FL schools and most fans would have an overnight stay at most, which is better for the short time frame most teams have of being in the game.

Another vote for Charlotte. The location and the City's desire to promote events make it the best permanent location. IMHO.
