ACCCG Clemson vs. UNC

Did Fedora talk about the call in the after game presser?

He said the officials were simply wrong. He's right too. Clemson was the better team but the ADs have to bring pressure on the officials to up their game. It's so bad, I'd much rather have SEC officials for the ugag game (that is if we can't have neutral ones).

UNC finally knows what it is like to be on the receiving end of a fixed call. Good riddance.

Once Chizik leaves at the end of next season they will be stuck eating a 7 year contract with Fedora. Their flash in the pan is over.

Not so sure, their roster is loaded.

Fedora is going to have to swallow it like a man.

A very very gay Carolina man.

I hate Carolina as much as the next guy but what have you seen from Fedora that makes you think flash in the pan? He is a great offensive coach and a good recruiter who works for the popular flagship state school. I think they will be good for a while. Reminds of when Dabo started out as Clemson. Everyone thought he was a joke and look where their program is now.

I made the mistake of browsing a Clemson board. It turns out it's set up like Techsideline, so I didn't get a chance to look at many posts because öööö that. I didn't come across this choice tidbit though:

Official had the best view and a better angle than all of the camera views available. Clemson won fair and square. The media will push this but it's a non issue. The official called offsides, they kicked again, and Clemson recovered.

The good news is that they were offsides by over a yard anyway, according to this image from the same "thread":

Not sure why they stopped drawing the line and said he was only one yard off though. If they had kept going, they would have seen it was at least three yards off.

:rotfl:

Probably a Clemson engineer.

If that was offsides, it was a cubit or less.

Can a hand be offsides if it's not touching the ground such as lining up in the neutral zone in a 3pt stance?

Where are all of the Carolina haters that said the refs will hand the game to UNC because they hate everyone outside of the Tobacco Road?

We are just glad that they got beat.

I would have been happier if Clemson had beaten them 221-0.

GO JACKETS!!

Don't be mad because you didn't get any pizza. You always have cheese and whine.

UNC can suck it. They beat GT because Gotsis got ejected and they only came back on Clemson because the starting safety got ejected and his true freshman back got abused in the 2nd half. The "offsides" was a terrible call but those refs missed several other key calls. Don't want to lose? How bout don't give up 600+ yards?

Clemson won't be #1 on Tuesday and probably won't be around for the second round in my opinion. Their defense isn't good enough.

I will say I've seen worse calls. Tevin's fumble against Clemson comes to mind, where offsides wasn't called.

That UNC player was over the line less than second after the ball was kicked, and in front of all other UNC players.

Searching through the rulebook, offside isn't precisely defined except to say "player is in neutral zone." There are no approved rulings which clarify the issue either.

So the letter of the law does say any part of the body can be called for offside, not just where the feet of the player are. So not as bad of a call that many say.

It doesn't look like any parts of their bodies are offsides.

Put another way, if this is really offsides, then I would say a majority of kickoffs are offsides and it just normally isn't called.
