ACCCG dream matchup..... re:location

That was ... odd. We were half joking that we weren't going to be able to see the game from our seats because of the fog and smoke.

My view before and after the opening extravaganza...

It's funny watching the CFP Ranking reveal show. If it were Florida with UNC's resume sitting at #10, they'd be arguing hardcore that if they upset the #1 team they should jump into the top 4.

Equally funny is the crapping all over Clemson I'm reading. They'll get a good game from Carolina, but I believe they'll win. And they are most certainly not going to get trounced by Alabama or Oklahoma.

if clemson plays well they win it all. They beat a solid ND team and Watson is the real deal.

That being said turnovers and stupid penalties will not equal Nat title.

Agreed. Having watched all of the teams in the top four play several times this year, there is no reason for me to change my pick of Clemson to win the title. That team is legit.

Who says they won't? Doubt they put 2 big 10 teams in

I can't see Carolina being given a six-spot jump. I believe they would absolutely put tOSU in over UNC, which is hilarious considering that Ohio State's biggest advantage over the Heels' resume is a four spot difference in SOS. If the committee had any interest in allowing that sort of leap from UNC, they wouldn't have ranked them behind Florida State.

No way Ohio St gets in not playing in there conference championship.

No, I agree that a PAC-12 Champion Stanford would easily get the nod over tOSU should the right upsets take place. But if all hell were to break loose on Saturday and Clemson, Alabama and Stanford lost, Ohio State would get in long, long before North Carolina. I don't agree with it, but the committee put the Heels where they did for a reason.

A. You're an idiot
B. A squared

A. I forgot, Clemmons is somehow now a Juggernaut and Saban somehow will wet the bed facing a Dabo Swinney coached team, kinda like WV did.

B. UNC scored 35 in the first quarter against NC State, a team that scored 40+ against Clemmons . Happen to watch Clemson Vs. Syracuse? Tard.

According to how the championship rules are written, conference champs from the big 5 get first nod. It has to be a compelling argument to pick a non conference champ. UNC will be selected before Ohio State if UNC wins or the whole playoffs are a sham.

Then I guess if the favorites meltdown Saturday you guys had best prepare for the glorious return of the Bowl Alliance.

Unc absolutely deserves to be in if they win. No one is really debating this though, right?

I hope UNC wins. Franklin St will be a shitshow afterward.

Also, Clemson is only a 5-point favorite. I wouldn't be surprised if UNC wins. Go Heels!

It's funny because UNC this year is almost exactly like Ohio State last year. Lost its first game against a crappy team and then won 11 straight in impressive fashion. OSU moved a loooong way in the polls at the end of the season and relied on the conference champion argument to get in.

If Ohio State ends up in the same situation but on the opposite side and gets the nod again, I'm gonna be pissed. Almost as pissed as if a 1-loss Alabama takes over the #1 spot from an undefeated Clemson, riding on the coattails of SEC superiority, while the SEC has gone 1-7 in rivalry games vs. the ACC the last 2 years.

Clemson, if they beat UNC, is gonna get drilled by Bama or Oklahoma.

I think Clemson is better than OU and if anyone stands a chance to shut down Bama's running game, its Clemson's DLine. Is Clemson's offense good enough to hang points on bama's defense will be interesting.

One of the committee members said last night that they debated for a long time whether Alabama deserved to be moved ahead of Clemson for #1. One loss Alabama. Ahead of undefeated Clemson. It boggles the mind.

I'll tell you this though, if Clemson beats UNC 6-0 and Alabama wins 7-0, bet the farm that the Tide will get the #1 seed.
