The Falcons just beat TCU 20-17 last night. Did anyone think that Air Force would jump out 3-0?

I bet Berry is happy!

Always good to see any of the service academies do well, especially after all that crap @ Rutgers last week.
 
Yeah, I saw that...WOW! The first thing that I thought about was the fact that all of the ESPN analyst are saying that the last four games for Notre Dame are against weak competition.

I am sure that Notre Dame will get better as the season progresses. But as of right now, they only have two games that I would classify as gimmies. They may be fortunate to split those final four games on their schedule.

Could you imagine Notre Dame being 0-10 heading into the Duke game?
 
If people were offended by that they need to be shot.

It's one of those situations where speaking the truth is not the 'politically correct' thing to say. Funny how some people are 'offended' by the truth.
 
Funny how things cycle around somewhat historically. When I was growing up in the Baytown TX area during the '50s, TCU was in the old SW conference. If I remember correctly the TCU coach, Abe Martin, stated prior to one season 'that he had the fastest all-white backfield in the SWC.' No big deal at the time, there were still signs for white and 'colored' facilities(water fountains, restrooms, etc) .How the world has changed and mostly for the better.

What did the AF kid mean, '250 guys on this team'?

The academies all have literally hundreds of kids on their football teams. Every student has to play an organized sport, whether football, basketball or whatever. It's also why the service academies' rugby teams are always very good compared to other schools' club teams.

The interesting thing, too, about the "afro-american" line is that blacks themselves assume blacks tend to be faster than whites. Michael Irvin said much the same thing when he said that Dallas' new QB probably had some black in him.
