Suggs has now learned to come from behind to win. He gave it a real good run vs Clem & WF, but couldn't finish. The tying TD drive Sat was a thing of beauty, @ NC St for their homecoming. Perfect pass for 28 yds to J Smith for the 1st down on a 3rd & 19 from DEEP in our own territory. He followed that with another beauty down the far sideline for 24 yds to Watkins. Then, nicely, found Foshi for the TD.
But you know what really told me he had turned the corner? The 2 pt pass to tie! See the TD left us behind by 2 & we had to have the 2 pts to tie. He had not come all the way back til we tied or went up. He made the play.
Now that he has learned to come back, he can continue to do it. The NC St game was very reminiscent of our recent QB play. We can now win any game, any where, no matter what the circumstances. That was truly AJ Suggs' break out game. He broke out from just winning when up & learned to win when down.
PS: Suggs hit Glover deep, perfectly in the hands, in what should have been a long TD bomb, but Will juggled it away. Suggs needs the WRs to hang on to one of these to give the confidence that we can 'hit' from anywhere.
