Kim was an amazing guy. Dodd said often the '66 team was his favoriteThe kick is high enough.....Gooooott!
The pass is intercepted...dropped.
Do you guys remember Kim King's last ride, in the Wreck rumble seat at halftime....standing O....glad we got to say goodbye.
I grew up around the corner from Al and his family. After Al passed away and his widow moved out the house, some degenerate bought it and immediately hung a dwag banner on it. I used to have a picture of it and posted it a time or two around these parts. Sad to think to what lows some people will stoop.

You need to share some your stories of the Dodd era with me.Youngster
Long before? My parents "flighted" out of West End in 1961 and landed over there. This was before Al's neighborhood was even built up.Loooooong before you and donsue were a twinkle in your parents eyes

Did you know Jay Sekulow?
No, but I am a fan of Jay!
It is within the last year or so someone told me he is a Viking. True?
Man, does that guy have great hair![]()
Yes, Jay went to Lakeside and lived very near Twin Lakes pool. You probably have heard his radio show but have you heard the role he has taken on with the Pres. Trump?
I'll always remember, I had to sit in a continuing ed class all day on a Saturday when Tech was playing Furman. The first thing I did when I got out was turn on WGST, and the postgame was ending. Al's final word: "That wraps it up on a homecoming day at Grant Field....Furman 41, Tech nothing". Obviously it was the other way around. My first memory of Al was in the Fall of 1983. Obviously, baby brother John Davis was involved. JD had just earned his first collegiate start against UNC. Before his first play Al said, "Up over the ball is biiiiiggggggg John Davis, from Ellijay, Florida." I remember looking at Pop and saying what the heck, did you move since last night?
It was always a great honor to hear AC make that statement, "Up over the ball is biiiigggg John Davis." I remember after a game or two when we were outside waiting for JD to come out of the locker room AC would come by and talk to my parents. He would always apologize for saying Florida instead of Georgia.
