I think it makes a lot of sense.

He and his staff would breathe fresh life into this offense, utilizing the current talent we have, so we aren’t starting over.

He’d have an OC, which would allow him to focus on the big picture while the OC focuses on the O.

He has GA and Southeast connections from his time here and as the GA Southern HC.

I think our goal should be to be the premier destination for option coaches. The service academies would serve as a de facto farm system for our coaching talent.

Dropping down to fcs would make perfect sense too in that scenario.
