Amazing what people simply don't see

fowl

the bottom line-Tech has avg 21 pts a game for 4 seasons with whoever at QB with whatever scheme/plays etc. This is NOT acceptable in todays game.We have good def but they break down some(see SAT).You HAVE to just outscore the opponent but with little offense the margin is too small to have a very good record.7-4+

Re: Amazing what people simply don\'t see

What we see entirely too often is a team not prepared to play.

Getting a team ready to play is a responsibility that clearly falls on the Coaches' shoulders. Our teams are poorly prepared far too often. Please don't comment on the first three games, except as an example that the team CAN be motivated.

To paraphrase a quote in the AJC: "We were not ready to play.."

Maryland's rushing defense was pretty good last year when Hollenbach was the QB too (last half). Maryland has also played a few patsies to build up his stats. Take away a couple of big throws against UNC and he's been an average quarterback. Maryland is a very average team right now. Next year, they may be tough but not right now.

Hollenbach only started one game last year, against Wake Forest, and Maryland won that game. He didn't start against FSU this year when they lost, so in fact Hollenbach is 6-3 as the starting QB. Where did your .500 figure come from?

Oh, what we wouldn't give for an average QB!

Re: Amazing what people simply don\'t see

Course we're an average team too, but one with a three year starter at QB.
