Will Nesbitt = DOOM for the Gailey HATERS?

Nesbitt has the ability to get to the corner and when he learns more of the offense he is going to give the O that extra needed punch.

Solid win over an UNDEFEATED at home Miami team.

I'm not a hater but there's no need for this kind of message. The win over Miami is nice but the season as a whole is still a disappointment.

Nesbitt impressed me today with his speed and ability to cut.

Gailey hater or Gailey lover, you have to be happy for our team today.

17 - 14 over an average Miami team. We looked flat again in the 1st half. We won, but this isn't enough to save his job.

Excellent!

I have been missing these post this year. Maybe i missed it but i didn't see it after the clemson game. Top Notch!

Gailey coached a good game today ... mixed it up at QB ... made some good decisions ... if Bennett was a little more accurate, we would have won by three TDs.

Nesbitt is the real deal. Fortunately for us, we'll have a new head coach next year to better him every year he is here.

I want GOL as our coach. Anybody that can put up 64 against USF is my kind of guy. Now I know that he has some advantages - he is at a school where he can recruit anything that breathes, has 40K+ students and is a defensive specialist, But to put up 64 points that is extraordinary. I also know he was our coach the last time we were shut out, but he is my kind of guy. He could probably lie his way out of the shutout. Oppps, you mean he lost and his team gave up 64; damn Chan must have traded places! Hey, George if anyone asks tell them Chan coached UCF today. It'll play in Atl.

Nah, I still think Gailey sucks. We're 4-3 on our way to another 7-5 season if we're lucky...

I believethe real issue is: if we could find some WR's to hold on to the ball. I quit after I counted six that I believe were catchable. Not perfect but catchable. Just my opinion.

When I was watching today I came to the conclussion that if Tator throws the ball under the helmet we catch it, throws it over the head we drop it. Our receivers are afraid to get hit and get alligator arms. Grow up boys, just catch the DAMN ball.

Not a tough day at all. I enjoyed the game, especially the second half. There were some signs of encouragement such as Taylor Bennett improving incrementally each week. His pass to DJ was mechanically an abortion---sidearm slinging---but it was pinpoint when it absolutely had to be, moved the chains and maybe won the game. DJ was clutch too.

For all you kool-aid drinkers out there, was there anything---other than the "w"--that encourages you to the point that you'd like to play Boston College again? I saw formation penalties (still), lots of holding, a lackluster first half but I was amazed that we did make good adjustments at the half and came out with emotion. I've said all year we need to stick to our running game. Bennett's two scores were direct results of the move to stay with the run. Sell the run first and then play action is more effective. This isn't news, people. It is football 101. Today it worked. Next week we will see how good or how bad Miami really is. It is impressive to beat them in the Orange Bowl. The Tampa papers said heretofore only VPI, ND, and FSU had beaten the Hurricanes three straight. My research says two of those three-peats are not in three straight years, but three straight games spread over four or five years. I haven't determined if any of the other three-peaters did twice in Miami. It's a feat, there is now doubt. I am eating humble pie tonight, but no second helpings. This coach has got to go. Many jumped off the bandwagon by halftime and jumped back on by the end of the game. Such is the nature of fans. I love all you guys because I know you all love Georgia Tech. We just have varied opinions of what is best for our team. My opinion that a continued presence of Coach Gailey is not in our best interest remains unchanged by a squeaker win over a mediocre opponent.

Yes sad day for us because it means we'll be doing this again next year with this chump. I'm glad we won but MIami stinks.

I also now have no regrets at all about the departure of Nix. I had been thinking he might have just been screwed by having Reggie, but the fact that he didn't attack deep more today...just an all around poor performance from both the Miami team and their coaches.

Enjoyed your critique this time, YW. This was a good win but we still gotta see 8 -4 or better with a win over UGA in the regular season - nothing less.

I don't hate Chan he's just out of time outs. 6 years and still putzy schoolyard football wasting talent and not making the most of it.

He's run out of time.

Who's up? Let's bring Franchione or somebody in here.

GO JACKETS!

The mighty University of Nebraska "couldn't stand mediocrity" a few years back and got rid of Frank Solich after a nine win season. After the last two weeks I wonder how they feel about "mediocrity" now (that doesn't even consider beating Ball State 42-41). The blind assumption that anybody we get is going to be better is fascinating. The blind assumption that any offensive coordinator would be better than Nix hasn't been proven yet either.

I have an idea - let's get a "National Coach of the Year" from one of the lesser D1 programs. How'd that work out last time?

I gave up on Gailey last week when he kept the team from winning a game they were going to win. that being said, I'm glad we won today and thought we played fairly well. We're not all that good but I realized that at UVA. We're not bad either. QB development is really poor.
