That's too obvious. I say we beat Miami, lose to Army, beat VT, and beat Duke. This will somehow workout to give us a chance to win the division and make the championship game. All we have to do is beat UNC, but insted we get blown out. This will set us up perfectly to beat UGA by 2 TDs which will leave us at 7-5. The City of Biloxi, MS will scramble together a Craftmatic Adjustable Bed Bowl for us to play Southern Miss in.
 
Here's a scenario ...

Now:

UVA 3-0
VT 1-0
M 1-1
UNC 1-2
GT 1-3

GT wins out
UVA L @MD, @NCSt, WF, @Miami
VT L BC, @UVA, @GT
M L @VT, GT
UNC L @ GT

This would assure GT, Miami, VT and UNC 3 losses a piece and UVA 4. GT wins the tie-breaker.

Given all of this the one thing I just don't see happening is GT winning out. I have no reason to expect that part of the equation to hold up.
 
Forgetting about scenarios for winning the division and just focusing on GT and the remaining schedule --here's what I expect to happen. Seriously --not being sarcastic and not venting frustration here.

Currently: 3-3 (1-3)

W @ Miami
W vs Army
W vs VT ...to go 6-3 (3-3)

@ Duke and vs UNC --GT will go 1-1 ..to go 7-4 (4-4) --not sure who the loss will come against --probably at home against UNC but you can't rule out a slip-up @Duke --we've been down that road four years ago.

This leaves CG with the opportunity to go 8-4 with a win at home against UGA. Then a mid-tier bowl game will follow --but I see this as setting up the UGA game for CG to either save or lose his job.
 
Why are we even talking about this? If we can't beat Maryland and Virginia, what makes you think we will beat scUM, VPI, or hell even UNC?

Forget about the ACCCG, not going to happen. We had our chance last year and we pissed it down the ****ing drain with that dumb**** nix calling fade left and fade right instead of running the god damn ball.

Things do look better on O. Except for penalties and play calling. Look, if Bennett keeps getting better and OL keeps him protected the play calling will be more varied. MARK IT DOWN.. UNC will not beat us at home! Miami=W, Duke..c-mon, VT will overlook us=W and UVA will lose the last 4 for sure.

I cannot understand why you guys think UVA will continue to win in ACC.
THEY won a lucky freaking home game against us w/o TC. They will lose the last 4. This, i am sure. NCSU will beat them in Raleigh to ruin their hopes.
 
VT will run away with the division. Mark it down. Any possible scenario for Tech to THINK about Jacksonville involves them losing three conference games, something that won't happen.

The funny thing is, we might be their only ACC loss. Things have tended to work out like that the past few years.

Yeah we really needed VT to lose today.

VT still has to play BC, us, and Miami though. All three of those games are losable.
 
Kyle, it may be mathematically possible but you do know it's not going to happen right? Even if we were to win out, there are too many other things that have to fall just right.
 
all depends on what VT team shows up. If they are on vs. BC they will win by 14pts.

BC game looks very interesting. BC will be ranked in top 5, but really won't need that game to win that div. They will lose and rematch in conf title game.
 
What BC needs for the divisional title is irrelavant JOJATEC#1. They have bigger goals now than simply making the ACCCG. They'll show up. I don't know that BC can stop their passing attack, and I don't see VT scoring enough on them.
 
VT will not lose 3 more games in our crappy conference. They DESTROYED Clemson in Death Valley last night.

THIS ACC race is over. At least for our sorry arses it is.

Special teams and D by VT is what destroyed CU last night. (CU special teams are cursed)
VT offense is not that powerful.
 
I don't buy the whole idea that Chan's style is suited for the NFL. Chan's style is suited for neither the NCAA, NOR... the NFL.

The EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS against his overly conservative nature were used when he was coaching the Cowboys. It's why his players and the fans turned against him. What is going on now is very similar to what went on at Dallas.

Chan's style is not NFL coaching. It's just stupidity.
