Have not heard anything in a while and was hopeing someone could offer a nugget or two.:fingersx:

Robert Golden, a top rated CB Prospect and a soft-verbal to Arizona, is strongly considering Tech along with UCLA. He is teammates with Brandon Leslie and wants to visit on the 15th or the 29th.

Here are a few 2009 Georgia Prospects to keep an eye on. I am trying to find out if we have sent any offers out yet. I am pretty sure that we can expect Drew Little, Jamal Patterson, JC Lanier, Brandon Watts, Aaron Murray, Kevin Minter, and Daniel Drummond to get early offers. Of course there are probably more. These are just the Georgia prospects and are names that I have been hearing about for a while now.

Jamal Patterson, J.C. Lanier, Brandon Watts, Kevin Minter, Donavan Tate, Andre Harris, Jarvis Jones, Zach Mettenberger and Braxton Lane “could” be considered the Georgia Top Ten at this point. These prospects will “most likely” get the most national attention.

I'd be surprised if either M'berger or Lanier sign anywhere but the 'pool (although it might take Lanier awhile to get on campus).

Are you insinuating that there may be some academic issues with Lanier? I, personally, have not heard anything negative about him in the classroom. If he is academically able, I think that we have a real shot at him. He sounds like he wants to stay in state. He said that he loves the city of Atlanta and he also has family that lives there. He wants to play defensive tackle, which is what I believe we are recruiting him as. He has also made the statement that academics are the most important thing to him, as his mother. Of course we have all heard that one before…right before the kid commits to South Carolina or somewhere like that. Nevertheless, he and his mother seem to be impressed by our academic reputation. If you all recall, Lanier attended camp at Tech back in July.

Golden is looking more and more like a possibility, i know we are waiting on his transcripts though, the staff feels he is getting closer to decommiting from Arizona

I think you can strike Jonathan Davis from Tucker High. He's not too bright. I think he may already be 19 and only a junior. He flunked out of the private school he was at last year and transferred to Tucker. He's a serious athlete though. Fast and will hit you!! Like the link said he could be the best athlete around on either side of the line. It's a shame he's only 5-9" and probably won't grow any more.

It's funny. Without knowing anything else about these kids (except for Drew Little, who goes to Henry Co.) the 2 that popped out to me were the QB from Oconee (I immediately said to myself "he's a dawg" based on his location) and Davis from Tucker (to which I said to myself "he's too dumb - he's at Tucker"). Tucker is the football factory of high schools. It's a miracle that they get kids into college.

Does anyone have any insight to our recruiting of Etienne Sabino? According to Scout, he's a good student and likes to blitz. It seems as though we're going to need a stud middle linebacker. Biggest no brainer in the history of man, if you ask me.

He still has several schools on his list (Tech, UNC, ND, Ohio State, USC, LSU, Florida, and Miami). We are expecting to get an official from him. Where we stand, I am not sure. I would be a little surprised (pleasantly) to see him a Jacket.

What do you mean it's a miracle they can get kids into colleges? Two of ugag's stars are from Tucker - Thomas Brown starting tailback and Asher Allen (both magna cum pigskin). -)

Jonathan Davis is stud, no doubt! Unfortunately I think he doesn't places as much value on bookwork as does on "playing time". He could possibly be playing on Sunday if he finds the right school to skate through. I'd bet Mark Richt, Rodney Garner, and Hargrave are scheming as I write this.

Yeah, who was the guy at UGA from Tucker that smacked his teacher around after she caught him using is camera phone to cheat on a test? I'm pretty sure he was from Tucker.
