without going through all the threads, I was wondering if anyone else heard this one? I think Marrone or Muschamp would be good fits.

I was just hoping it was Paul and not Bobby, but hey, bobby has at least beaten the Leg-Humpers.

I've heard that Bobby Johnson NOT Paul Johnson will get an interview, but the rumor that is flying around is that the next coach is Will Muschamp, which makes a helluva lot of sense.

I would love to see Marrone get a look. The guy has done a great job @ New Orleans, and knows the Tech culture, and is a Helluva recruiter. With that said, I have heard some great things about Muschamp. I would be excited about either.

I talked to Marrone a few times while he was here and he was a very nice guy, but as you say he understands the Tech culture and I'm not sure he liked it very much. Also, I'm not sure he would have the type of high energy exciting personality we are going to need and that Drad would want. Don't know much about Muschamp, but everytime Edsall speaks I'm impressed.

I'd hire Vince and Barbara if I thought they could help us win and put some butts in seats. I'm just afraid nothing is truly going to get better as long as Clough is involved. Just one person's opinion.

Dan was "the Hills" choice for AD, he will make things better, it is all his decision.

A UGAger can not head coach at Tech. It just won't work. If you think Gailey caused division after his first UGAg loss, just imagine how divisive it would be to have a UGAger. There would be a dozen Buzzoffs from the get go. I want no part of the cluster that would be. DRad must know that would be a time bomb.

The new guy needs to be energetic, upbeat and innovative and a recruiter.

Marrone left us for UGA prior to the Gator Bowl and failed to fully develop the OL for that game....worst part is he did not tell George that he left us. George was livid! To top it off...rumor was he took Ralph's playbook with him! (Remember everyone calling him Benedict Marrone!)

NO WAY I want Muschamp for the leader and representative of the Georgia Institute of Technology's football program. He is a UGA grad-1994...and that may be the best part about him. He lacks the social tact necessary to be a head coach and direct other coordinators that would hopefully be great. Go listen to interviews with him.

Remember...a head coach that was a great coordinator does not get to be a coordinator anymore...they simply do not have the time.

Talk about a roll of the dice!

Can't be any wose than Chan Gailey. Better yet, I'll bet he will answer a question.

I am not talking about CG...did I say anything about him?

I thought we were talking about Will Muschamp.

We need a grown adult...not a kid playing coordinator.

Muschamp? Surely this is a joke. It would be embarrasing to have someone like that representing Tech. He has been posted on every website in the country because of his lack of class. I hope this is all just a sick rumor.

Totally sick thread. Mods please close.

You guys need to get some sleep.

I have heard from people who live in Muschamp's hometown that his father is telling people that Tech has contacted his son about the job and is very interested. Muschamp has beating the dogs before too.

People need to cut the nonsense about Muschamp going to UGAg. If any allegiance to UGA is still there, it certainly hasn't affected his coaching at Auburn.

For all purposes, he appears to be in the mold of Steve Spurrier's treatment of the media and I can't say I really care. As long as he can recruit, he can cuss out Mark Bradley all he wants.

Marrone is a true MFer traitor.

Take Will over that any day, and it does not matter one bit where he went to school.

The elitist, beating ugag does not matter attitudes are what are hurting GT now.

"Well that would be supah --just supah. What do you think Babs?"

"Oh Prince --I just don't think it's a good idea --I don't have any accessories that would go with old gold & white."

If I recall correctly, Marrone left here under bad circumstances. Didn't he leave GT to take a lateral move position under Donnan at UGA? I think he told O'Leary he was leaving to take the OC position at UGA and later it was revealed he was taking the OL coach position.
