As a transplanted Southern California Alumni I'm very impressed with Palmer... 4 OC's in 5 years... and now a Heisman... he is so calm in 3rd down situations that there's ice forming on his cleats...
Norm Chow would never come here as OC... maybe he can be our next head coach??? This is a guy who would stay in it til he retires because of his age AMD may not move on because he's got something to prove... he did great work with freshman Rivers at NCSt. a coupla years back and don't even look at his resume with BYU QB's it makes Freidgen look like a newbee...
Go Trojans and GO JACKETS....

I've been watching and it sure makes we wish we'd had a decent field to play on in SJ.

Did you notice the Iowa D-tackle (#83 maybe) strike a very brief Heisman pose after he sacked Palmer? 1st or 2nd quarter. I thought for sure he'd get an "unsportsmanlike", but the ref didn't catch on. Even if you did get caught, it would have been worth 15 yards and a chewing-out to have that on tape for the rest of your life.

lol belly .. you're right .. the heisman pose is worth it ..

after all it is the orange bowl and you are sacking the heisman winning quarterback.

southern cal is an interesting comparison to Tech.
new head coach goes 6-5 in his first season.

they barely make it to post season in the impressive las vegas bowl against powerhouse Utah from the almighty mountainwest conference.

ofcourse USC couldn't match up with Utah and lost.

they stick with their new head coach and now they're playing in the orange bowl with a heisman winning QB.

i know that's a slant. no comparisons can be true to the last detail. give CHAN a CHANce for another year.

Fantastic game. That 18 year old freshman receiver Mike Williams is a force. He is from Tampa by the way. You know why he isn't playing for Florida? Zook told him he was going to make a safety out of him.. hahah.. that says it all.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">And this crap has WHAT to do with the Orange Bowl? Southern Cal is a well coached, diciplined team. I see no comparison whatsoever. Pete Carroll started out 2-5, but has been 14-3 since. Let me know when CG turns THAT corner. Then you can make a comparison.

ylojk8... please notice... Carroll changed OC and hired Norm Chow 2 years ago... Carroll is a 'DC' kind've guy and admits he only knows how to stop offenses not how to make 'em go...
I will give 'CHAN his CHANce' but he's got to admit he knows little or nothing about the modern college football offenses and hire or allow an 'OC' to 'be the man'... OR fire BO'B, step up take responsibility and prove me wrong about his offensive prowess...
By the by Southern California Rocked one of the best rushing defenses in the country, beat the Heisman Trophy runner-up with out their "D' captain and repeat all-american safety...
Man I know those Athens Dawgs are glad they didn't face Southern California in the Sugar Bowl.. maybe the best job Dooleys done in 20+ years was scoring F$U instead of So Cal...

PSS after watching Iowa who here thinks Ohio State stands a chance against Miami... for the record.... not I...
