AP Top 25

I'm surprised that they didn't leave a few spots in the top 25 just simply vacant since if the SEC can't have them nobody can.

So Bama #1, Clemson #2, no one at 3, 4 & 5 then a bunch of other teams.
 
I'd say it was meaningless and stupid, but because idiots actually believe this crap after one game it's a problem.

Sarcasm? You don't get poll love coming off a 3-9 season and beating a hapless BC team in a game that a lot of people probably didn't even see. We'd deserve some votes if we got to 3-0 with two P5 wins. Maybe.

Huh? I would say FSU looked better than any team not named Tide!
 
I'm biased, but IMO it's hard to knock Clemson out of the #2 spot after a national championship appearance and then beating a talented SEC team on the road. Then again, I don't believe that last season's results should factor into this year's rankings, so I would probably put Houston at #2, to be honest.

If we curb stomp Mercer, *maybe* we show up in the "others receiving votes" category. A solid win against Vanderbilt and we probably show up in the 20-25 range to set up a ranked prime-time match-up with Clemson. It is what it is. Week 1 poll is always "overreaction week".

3-0 = Others Receiving Votes
4-0 = Top 25
6-0 = Top 15
9-0 = Top 10
13-0 = Top 4
