App St vs. Coastal

Bill Lewis was the hot name when we hired him from East Carolina. 11-1 the season before we hired him. Only lost to Illinois by 7 in the opening game of 1991. Beat South Carolina, Syracuse, Pitt, Virginia Tech, and NC State (in the peach bowl). The hottest name on coaching. GT fans were genuinely excited we were about to become a ööööing powerhouse. There was NOBODY who had doubts about the hire. High scoring team with a defensive minded coach at the helm, had been DC at UGAg for 7 or so years in the 80's.

Anyway, we know how that worked out

Nobody had any doubts? He had one winning season with a talent loaded ECU team and to imply he was a home run hire is nuts. It was oleary’s job to lose but he botched the interview. Homer didn’t make the same mistake the second time.

Ignore the tard. He’s essentially a bot to keep the threads turning.

Nobody had doubts. You can lie and say so. You can lie and say GOL was your pick, but our fanbase was pretty stoked about hiring Lewis. Revisionist history won't change that.

I’m not lying and it had nothing to do with me. Perhaps some of the fan base was “stoked”, but there was plenty of skepticism as well. You’re revising history if you think otherwise. It’s moot point at this juncture but you can die on this hill if you want.

Just pointing out, for those who are acting like CC's coach is walking on water. We've been here with the hot coach from a lesser program.

I'm watching CC on television right now. You can't prove Temple actually exists.

I have only watched bits and pieces of the game, but I don't understand all the complaints about Chadwell being another option coach. I haven't seen an option play yet, and most of the plays I have seen have been passes out of the shotgun.

They have had 50% success rate running it tonight but they have run it 25 % of the time tonight.

Wouldn’t bet a number of these plays are as successful against the clemson/ugags of the world, even if you upgrade the players. It’s really tough for me to picture how this would work when the opposing D coaches are week in and out far more capable.
Especially if Clemson and Uga request bye weeks to get ready for the offense

What offense do you think the Baltimore Ravens run? It’s literally spread football, just option deep in the backfield, which every team runs. Coastal just runs it more.
