Arch Manning commits

Ahhh. A new era of 3.1 million dollar college student-athlete quarterbacks. How refreshing.

This game is ööööing dead to me.
We are dead to them, too. Anyone who cared enough about college football to register an account to talk about it somewhere they weren't rewarded with internet points, we are not their target demographic and have not been for some time.

The mutts are getting their first glimpse of reality in that quite a few schools have more money to give than they do. This won't be the last loss for them.

They'll just load up on a 2024 5 star stud I'm sure...I read an article where Bowl Cut Kirbs has signed 5 5-star QBs in his 6 years....Wish we could do that lol

If his last name wasn't Manning, would he be this highly ranked ans heralded? I've watched some HUDLs on him and he's a good QB no doubt, but me thinks the Manning name has hyped him up.

Texas has a ton of highly ranked QB's now. No way they keep them all.

True, but that's okay from the program's standpoint. Keep stacking 5 star QBs every year, let them fight it out in spring and summer, keep the best as your starter, try to pursued the others to stay, but if they don't, you're okay. Only thing to make sure is you keep at least one back up in case of injury.

I have quite a few Ugag friends and they could care less about Manning not playing for them. They believe that they will just reload, with a different top 10 talent QB. Sadly, I don't think they are wrong. Congrats to Texas.. I hope it works well for them.

I wished I could say I was shocked. However; I am not. I expect tickets, to go up in prices. I expect certain "schools", to pour all kinds of money, to buy talent. I am one of those that thinks it's time for the NFL to have a minor league system. Let those that want to be paid, get paid. Let those that want to go to school, go to school. But, that's just my common sense talking.

I'm on the edge of bailing on CFB as it is. If this NIL/transfer business gets out of hand, I'll have no more reasons to hang on.

Same. Uncle on my mom's side is a big time donor/alum (her sister, my aunt is as well) and he said the mood is more or less "we'll just pluck anither 5 star in the 2024 class".....1st world problems I'd love us to have.

UGA hasn’t had much success with 5* QB’s. For all the hype for Stafford, he only got them a Sugar Bowl win. Shockley more or less was the backup for 3* David Greene. Quitcy was Quitcy before that.

I mean, Murray was a solid 4*, but UGA really wasn’t landing 5* QB’s like they are now. JT Daniels left USC after injury / getting beat out by Slovis. Never materialized at UGA. He’s now at WVU. Brock V is now waiting behind a 1* like Daniels was. But how can you bench someone who lead his team to an NC? You can’t. Odd enough, whomever is QB for UGA in 2023 will be CKS’s 1st elite QB he recruited.

All a do about nothing?? And refuses to attend Nike camps.
