Are there any rumors

DBs will become better tacklers under our system. If you can cover Duke receivers in practice but you get run over by real men in live games, your future as a football player isn't going to matter.
 
Actually I'm pretty sure the only bowl game Spurrier coached in was when Duke was hammered by Texas Tech. Duke's last bowl win was in 1961.
 
I went to high school with Fowler.

While I'd truly like the kid to come here, if he's wavering for academic reasons, deciding which school will give the best education, then good for him. Duke, the university, is almost as good as Tech, and has prettier women. Dook, the football program, is a awful. But we all knew that.

I just wanted to stick up for a kid that may be deciding where to go to school based on something more then football.

Agreed, these kids are constantly railed on for not putting acadmics and the rest of their life into consideration when picking a school to play football for. So in all seriousness, good for him, and hope he picks whats best for his long time goals.

And from the people Ive met, if he wants to be an asshole when he grows up, then Duke is clearly the place for him :laugher:
 
Do you actually believe that Dook's women are better looking than Tech's? Have you ever been to Dook? (For the record, I've been multiple times.) Just try looking at the crowd at the next Dook b-ball home game. Now granted, Tech isn't as "talent rich" as many state universities but it is much better than Dook.
 
To be fair, there are some beautiful girls at Duke, just not too many, and most are very wealthy and only hang out with the lax team.

there are very few good looking women at duke and hardly any are black.

Tech has very few good looking women, but 90% of the black college chicks hang out at tech and surrounding area and atlanta is littered with chicks.

Remember, GT athletes have apartments where 500k dollar apartments exist across the street. The location is impeccable you have the whole city at your hands. The women argument is the biggest crock of crap I have ever heard. I went to tech and had no problem with hot chicks from KSU, Agnes Scott, and even chicks that were just out of school living in ATL...they are everywhere.

Last time I heard, the Duke lax team paid women to hang out with them, and I don't think they paid them enough to become wealthy...:ugh:
 
wow i am shocked. I only talked to lee butler once on the sunday after he commited and he sounded so ready to be a jacket and loved everything. I think this guy has the talent to be a great corner. Hey maybe all of this is a rumor and he is ours.
 
Duke does not have as pretty women as Tech has now. Add in Atlanta women and few schools have the opportunity that Tech has.

I brought a friend down from Maryland and I swear he just sat there with his mouth wide open looking at all the southern belles on campus.
 
No wonder Duke can't recruit. Even Tech can play the "we have hot chicks" card vs them. Hehe.
 
In 2008 the ladies definitely are nicer at Tech than Duke. But, Duke can guarantee the wearing of blue jerseys. :laugher:

It's not hard to get both of the duke football fans to wear the same color.

As for Atlanta girls... well, I read an article a few years back from the rag that said that the ATL had one of the highest ratios of STD carrying people in the country. It was like 1 in 3 people had bonus prizes lurking below. For the sake of our SA's, they should be made aware of this, as we don't need wide outs dropping more passes because they had to scratch their crotch.

I'm still in shock at the amount of really hot women I've seen from section 120 of Bobby Dodd, right by a student section. My buddy and I are stationed at the very top of our section, thus with a perfect view of busty coeds in those awesome summer dresses.

A UGA friend of ours has come along for the past two Thursday-night games, and even he has been impressed.
