Army/Navy 2024

Largest guy for army is like 225. Navy’s got +300 lb guys.

no 300lber is gonna run 7 minute miles, 2-3 miles.
I’ll big cry myself.
You have to wait a while for all the Army guys to load. Army has 14 OL listed over 300 lbs, Navy has 4. Navy has 2 DL 275+, Army has 10

I’ve run with 300 lb guys that could rip off 7 mins miles with no issue. It’s not that fast if you’re not a damn couch potato. They’re not running a marathon at that speed but 2-3 miles is not a long distance and beating 21 mins no where near impossible.

FYI- Steve Emtman circa early 90’s had a story about him ripping off a 5:15 mile at a UW practice. That was way before today’s training, diets, shoes, etc.

Never saw an officer in the army over 200, I was infantry officer and tanker enlisted. Went to officer basic with West Point guys, who played football. At 6’ you can’t be over 190, no matter how fast you can run. They allowed them to be overweight during the season but had to drop within standards in a limited time. Times have changed though, women are in the infantry now.

Are there any women on the football team?

The US Public Health Service is one of the "uniformed services" and they wear US Navy styled uniforms.

However, that person is NOT Navy, but USPHS.

As an old Tech NROTC scholarship student my loyalties have been with Navy over the years. Even earlier Staubach was a childhood hero. However, for the past several years I had to cheer for Army as a young man I baptized and pastored and that my son coached and taught AP Statistics in high school played D-line for Army. He is a graduate now, flying Apache helicopters. So, my loyalties have shifted back to the blue and gold. Meeting several of his West Point teammates who visited North Carolina and attended our church services, I can say that the Army football players I met were incredibly impressive.

Do you love the blue, or the gold? As tech fans we should love both. That’s the symbology. Navy’s rule the world, Napoleon, nor Hitler had a greater empire than the Brits.

Navy's QB had an 82nd Airborne patch on his jersey. Steprules noticed it and texted me. That was his unit for 10b years.
