Macon did used to have some touchdown club speakers though. Town is actually Alot better than it used to be, just not sure about the journalism.

Macon TD Club still does have guest speakers from a number of in and out of state schools. Fairly non-partisan event, held at the Methodist Children's Home which is a nice facility with better than average buffet line food. Worth a try if you live in the area or are visiting the area. Google the Macon Touchdown Club to see who the upcoming speakers are. Last meeting I was able to attend was Brent Key who did not represent GT well,imo. Language was crude at times, casually underdressed.

Iirc, we didn't "reduce capacity sevei times" so much as we reduced it in a big way once and have built it back as we went from the traditional track&field setup to what we have now.
