as this was today it was still a win!!!

Not pretty, not nice, not anything but a win.

I, like many of you believe JN makes a big difference today. Let's move forward and getready for Clemson.

The game was worse than Brutal, but I agree...a Win is a Win...even if it feels like someone just shoved a tire iron up my ass.

we should be able to run the ball on GW and not get sacked when we throw... the schedule gets alot tougher

I hear ya brother. Iron hurts like hell even though it meets the required daily requirements for our health.:laugher:

Thing that bothers me the most is our OL just freaking SUX. IMO, minimum we do is get some movement for JD up the gut.

I imagine PJ is good and pissed. The SA's may be practicing tomorrow instead of waiting until Monday.

I would much rather beat GW 10-7 than lose to Toledo 10-13...(cough) Michigan (cough).

You guys are right but still... I know our guys have to be madder than piss at themselves and they should be. They can play better than that. GW was a pansy we should have and could have beat them easily by thirty. I just hope they get it together before Clemson, UVA, UNC, FSU and UGA

My point exactly. There is no "a win is a win" for me, because it shouldn't have come to this. As much as I like Booker (met him personally, he's a great guy), he was sorely out of his element. He made some great and some clutch plays, but there were soooooooo many more times where he was a step too slow, missed a read, or underthrew the ball (three times to be exact, all of which could have gone for touchdowns). There is no silver lining in this for me. If it had happened against georgia, I would be estatic. If it happened against unc, f$u, vt, miss state, uva, dook, or bc, I would be unhappy, but able to live with it. But it was gardner-webb. I just can't take the "win is a win" mentality. The only thing that I take away from this is the fact that it was a wake up call game for our guys. I have faith that CPJ will be waist deep in his players' asses, not only next week, but for the rest of the season.

After this afternoon's delightful entertainment, I think I might also find enjoyment in a sigmoidoscopy exam followed by a root canal.

MF2, I could not get over how bad our OL played. If anyone blocked on a single play during the game, I missed it. I think it may be time to take out want ads for offensive linemen.

Booker, Dwyer, the D line and special teams won today.

Sam Houston St. scored 49 on Gardner Webb. Don't think JN is a 39 point difference maker.

To quote PJ, we got whipped up front. You of all people should know about that.

Just goes to show you how razor thin we are at several positions (QB, BB, AB).

JN and JS have been masking our poor offensive line play.

never said that he was a 39 point difference maker. But I dang sure bet he would be worth 2-4 scores.

We should send a gift basket to Toledo, because they're taking some press away from us.

Although, the AP write up that is on Yahoo! pretty much says, "They used their third string guy that doesn't belong in a triple option, so its not that big a deal."

It looked like Gailey was still coaching....
I do not care to read or hear any more clever comments about how poorly some of our conference brethern are playing and how we should be a top 25 team etc. I think today's performance should be an indication how far we have to go to be a good football team. The offensive line play is very poor which does not bode well when we play teams with better than average defensive fronts.

The TO is built on THREE options. When your QB can't run, TWO are taken away. You now have an offense that consists of handoffs. They knew that. They stopped it.
