At least we're not Florida State...

CPJ will get passed over for the obvious reasons. And then when the coaching cascade falls to the teams that would have him, none will be able to afford to lure him away.

So we stuck with him.
Thanks for making Huey Lewis pop into my brain.

We are quickly approaching coaching transition critical mass. A point at which, when crossed, will result in every coach in the P5 changing teams at least once in the next 4 weeks.
I think it's more a quantum state than a critical mass. You can know either what school a coach is at or whether he's about to be fired, but never both at the same time. Coaches will be best described as probability waves at multiple schools at the same time.

What a dick move - quitting the day before your next game.

They shouldn't have escorted that guy who questioned Jimbo's loyalty out of the room - they should have let him kick Jimbo's butt.

Florida State feels like a pretty easy gig. Wonder if Charles Kelly would like to move back up here.
The talking heads have spent the week slamming FSU. Not responsive to Jimbo's requests relative to facilities (which are already great), assistants' compensation, indoor practice facility, etc.

I think that, technically, Jimbo was the coach of both FSU and TAMU for a short period of time.

Well, if the nosy nannies had left it alone, he could've coached out his final game and then made his announcement. He was trying to do what was in the best interest of his players it seemed, but someone forced his hand. I don't blame him for that.

He goes from Clemson, Wake, NCST, BC, Syracuse, Miami, and Florida plus Notre Dame, and 2 coastal teams every now and then. . . . to LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, plus SEC East teams every now and the?n. Will he ever beat Alabama without Manziel

I'm headed over to the F$U rescheduled game tomorrow (my bowl game) against 'Sisters of the Blind'. Got a 50 yard line ticket for $6 on Stubhub. Wonder what the poor bastard's seat licensing fee is...

Schedule wise seems like a slightly tougher task but not much different. When Florida doesn’t suck it’s as formidable as auburn. Clemson/Bama. LSU hasn’t been anything special for several years. Who gives a shit about a now rebuilding Mississippi State. And did you say Arkansas? Are they any better than wake? From a football standpoint, seems similar. From a CEO standpoint seems like a miserable gig. Ridiculous expectations.

Everything I'm seeing is that Willie Taggart is their guy unless he doesnt want it.
Reported that Taggert is recruiting right now, and telling recruits today that he's staying at Oregon. I realize coaches say a lot of BS.

Any chance with all of these openings a bunch of our Coastal foes "enjoy" some turmoil? :fingersx:
