I am starting to see fans attack kids for decommitting or wanting to transfer out. Saying that they are poor character or "bye Felicia" does not make us look good. I get it. I understand that we feel like they should honor commitments. However; I offer this. If you were working for a company that was failing and you saw no future, would YOU stay or leave for a better opportunity? Regardless people.. Please stop attacking these kids. It's a bad look on us. Not to mention could sway future commitments and / or transfer portal players. I may be the only one that thinks this.. But, stay classy.. Respect the choices these kids make. You don't have to support it. You don't have to wish them the best... But, don't go out of the way to talk about their character and such. rant over.... LOL

Don’t tweet or talk to players EVER! Talk öööö about them on message boards instead.

stop giving recruits any attention whatsoever. The recruits, the works, and college football would be better off for it.

I agree. Attacking prospective and current players is counterproductive and in bad taste. That doesn't mean they are above criticism, but personal attacks cross the line.
Personally, I see more and more school shifting focus from recruiting to the transfer portal. At least the mid-sized schools. I may be wrong, but it may be easier to entice a 3 star or 4 star that isn't starting, than recruiting them.

How many HS rated 4 stars that aren’t starting elsewhere would start at GT? Not very many judging by recent history.

The things some GT fans post on players' Twitter are really cringy. It feels different being critical or joking here because usually someone would have to go out of their way to read it. Posting on people's Twitter though is too direct, crosses a boundary. It's kind of like calling them and leaving them a voicemail saying they suck.

Dear 'croot, I DM'd you but you still ain't respondin'
I left my twitter, my insta, and my tik tok at the bottom
We had a lot of transfers this autumn, you must've saw them
They probably had a bad attitude or something'
Sometimes there's just nothing we can do to stop 'em
But anyways, öööö it, what's been up man? I really love you as a blocker

Attacking young adults is not in good taste. Agree. But using the term kids is also a bit out of alignment with current model. NIL and portal changes are much more dramatic as change agents than any other decision that I can recall in my lifetime as a fan. These young adults have to accept there are consequences when major shifts occur in business and this is a business first and the model of academic athlete is a distant second.

So don’t attack just say good bye. Immediately. Clean out your locker and we wish you the best. Should you wish to remain as a non scholarship student and your grades allow we will need an address to forward your tuition fees.

First of all, we aren’t any better than any other fanbase. We like to pretend we are, that we’re classier and we have these arbitrary rules about being Tech men and Tech men not behaving a certain way. Honestly, nobody gives a öööö. SEC fans send death threats to their kickers for missing a kick. They talk constant öööö and do personal attacks to their players who lose them games and recruits who decommit. If recruits aren’t wanting to come here because a few fans said a few mean things on Twitter they probably don’t have the mettle to play big boy football. I’m not gonna post öööö on somebody’s twitter but I also don’t care if other Tech fans do.

This stuff happens at every school with every fanbase. Making a post on a message board is not likely to change that here or elsewhere.
