Auburn fan making fun of the Tech program.

I'd say Auburn and Clemson.

Clemson fans aren't too bad, but SC fans still sell their stadium out when they're only winning 2 games per year. I really wish Tech fans weren't so jaded, and understood their place like SC fans do. It would make going to Tech games a lot more enjoyable.

I can't stand UNC fans, and even though most of my family are UVA grads, I'm not too particular to them either.

I guess we were looking at it from different perspectives. I was taking the approach of their hospitality, how they treat visiting fans. I've been to both places as a GT fan and as a "neutral" observer and aside from games against their rivals (USC and Bama) they treat visiting fans with class and most open their tailgates to fans of both teams.

I think it is, and will continue to be, about our young alumni base leaving Atlanta upon graduation. So many people graduate and leave Atlanta ... and Tech has mostly alumni as fans. We just don't draw the non-alumni backwoods masses like Clemson, SC, Auburn and UGA. 95% of the fans of those schools have never taken a class there, let alone made it out of high school.

Couldn't agree with you more. In my experience a bunch of stuck up fans who think their sh** doesn't stink.
'I live in Charlottesville and UVA fans are Stuck up also, but to me the worst fans in the country are VThug. Go to a VThug game and you start hearing banjos.

Yeah, I remember a lot of their hick fans from the game three years ago at Tech when we gave it away at the end of the game. I know a few decent people that go/went to school there, but I certainly didn't see any that night.

Rudest fans in the ACC at their stadium by far - NC State. I have enjoyed the fans best at Clemson, UVA, and Maryland.

Rudest fans when they come to Atlanta are FSU.

Auburn should not be making fun of us, but their fans are generally outstanding.

Rudest fans in NCAA, at home and away - UGA.

Are we talking football or basketball? In football all the fans we talked to prior to the games said, "Please don't beat us that badly." :laugher:

Now, basketball on the other hand...

Actually I was talking both - esp. football because they don't have anything to swagger about. Anyway, just my $0.02. I didn't comment on the best fans though - I think that goes to Clemson. Those folks have always been nice to our group when we go up to Death Valley. We usually get invited to someone's tailgate and enjoy a good friendly ribbing. That doesn't mean they don't get annoying though - I sure hate that Tiger Rag and that cheer where they spell Clemson.

The Clemson fans are the best. I've always been treated well up there and invited to partake in their tailgates.

I like the C-L-E-M-S-O-N cheer. I think it's pretty cool when they do it section by section around the stadium before the game. It's pretty impressive IMHO.

Good people over there too.

I was talking about the

1-2-3-4
1-2-3-4
C-L-E-M-S-O-N
T-I-G-E-RRRRRR-S
Tigers Fight...blah blah blah

The one you're talking about is pretty cool when Death Valley gets rockin'.
