AUC talks about knowshow's AA but NO MJ?

I believe MJ's penalty was called because he ran up and was not within 1 yard of the line when the ball was snapped. Otherwise, it would've been legal.

I didn't see that at all, either. He stood right where he always does - at least that's what it looked like from my seat in the north end of the upper east.

Moreno, on the other hand, physically put his hand on the other player's back the hurdle over him - no penalty was called.

The Jacket--this actually used to be a penalty, but I recently read the rule book and it turns out hurdling by the ball carrier was eliminated as a penalty back in like 2002. It's still illegal for non-ball carriers to do it though.

I thought it was a bogus call during the game, but I went back and watched the CSS replay on this game. As much as it hurts my heart to admit, MJ leaped forward and landed on the pile. Even if the pile is our own players (Vance and Daryl), it's still a legitimate penalty. It was a good call.

By the way, that penalty for leaping was complete bull****. I guess their call was that he used a man to jump in the air or he jumped over someone, but he never touched anyone else - he jumped straight up and straight down.

Actually, it's not BS - it's a pretty black and white rule. If you jump forward to block a kick and land on someone in front of you (either team) then it's a personal foul.

A guy was paralyzed on a similar play a few years ago.
