BAM! Big One!

The career backup DJ Shockley got GT pretty good.

Really? 14-7? With that last TD on off a long punt return with TWO clips in it. Furthermore, the game ended with us on the 5 yard line and Reggie throwing yet another game-killing INT.

In my book, that's just barely getting it done.

I am very excited for what hopes to be a long PJ era. Not only is his offense as advertised (awesome), but he is addressing the needs of the defense. There is no way around the fact that UGA threw on us very well last year. You can say that the D-line gave Stafford a lot of time or the DB's, or whatever. The point is PJ, et al., are doing what they need to do to make the whole team excel. I am very excited to be a Jacket.

21 in the Scout Team Rankings now. I think we'll be higher after they finish evaluating guys cause we have several high 3 star guys who'll be 4 star after they expand the rankings.

We probably won't get any higher than the low 20s in "ranking" this year because part of "ranking" is how many players you take, and we've only got about 12 spots.

Unfortunately, barely getting it done does get it done.

Both QBs had opportunities for clutch plays to get that win. When Shockley had his clutch opportunity he put a ball into the back of our end zone where only his receiver could catch it. When Reggie had his clutch opportunity he threw it right to a UGA cornerback.

This is a very key point. 5'11" is pretty average for a CB. Many, many NFL CB's are in the 5'11" range. It's really not a problem if they can jump, and if they weight in the 190 range. Safeties need to be bigger and bulkier for run support. The way to stop a big WR like Green is to put a S over the top to slobber-knock him every time he catches the ball. I think Taylor plus whoever will lay the wood to Green a few times this November. BTW, Asher Allen was 5'10" 194.

Hell, Prince Miller is 5'8 185lbs the other starter but Ayers is too small...lmao!!!
