Bama or VPI?

Who do we root for?

A VPI win would be good for our conference, strength of schedule, and might (depending on how big a win) could help our rankings.

A Bama win would show that VPI is not God's gift to the ACC which most writers believe. Also, anytime VPI is pissed is a good day.


What say you?
 
VPISU b/c I hate hearing Alabama talk about themselves and the SEC, plus when we beat VPISU, we will probably get more attention.

In a perfect world, however, I wish they would both lose. ;)
 
I hope the Tide beats them by 50.

VPI is garbage. They are a poor man's version of the 90's F$U teams with their thuggery and off the field shenanigans. It's a tired act that I refuse to root for.

I'll be rooting for VPI for ACC-sake, but I'll be predicting that they lose. So long as it's not another Clemson-like debacle.
 
VPI would be the best result.

It would also make it that much better when GT brings them crashing down. Do you want GT to lose to a team that got smashed by UA?
 
Look past our hatred for VPI for OOC games. If they beat Alabama, it'll look great for us when we beat them in every aspect.
 
maybe the dome will just collapse this time. F*** Alabama, Sabin, Va not-so-Tech, and leather face.
 
As much as I hate VPI, they're representing the ACC so I have to root for them.
 
I'm just hoping that its a close game...a game that no opinions can be drawn from.

If VPI blows out UA, all we'll hear about is how VPI is the greatest team in the ACC...they'll dominate ACC coverage for months. If UA blows out VPI, then all we'll hear about WRT the ACC is that the ACC sucks as a conference.

Sadly, I'm predicting that UA blows out VPI.
 
Gotta be pulling for VA Tech --always pull for the ACC against the SEC, or any of the other BCS conferences. --even if it's UM :ugh:.
 
Old ties to Auburn make cheering for Bama difficult. VPI is insufferable. Their playing in our home town and it being game day in Atlanta and we're not featured is insulting. So, I defer to Shakespeare, "A plague on both your houses."
 
VT due to ACC allegiance, but I'm not going to lose any sleep when Bama beats 'em.
 
I bet Bobby Dodd would pull for VT. As for me, I wish the whole SEC would get blown out opening weekend.
 
I would love to see VPI win this game as it will make us look better when we beat them...and not to mention it helps out the ACC.

I can not stand Bama and Nick Satan...
 
Not much of a thinker for me either

I don't like VPI. In fact, they are probably the ACC team I like the least. But my dislike of them doesn't come close to the loathing I have for Bama. Then there's the SEC thing. I ALWAYS pull against the SEC if they are playing out of conference. I want everyone on our schedule to win as much as possible before we get them. That will make our win over them the more impressive.
