So wait...Mark Bradley is already projecting UGA to win the MNC next year, before this season is even over? Making outrage bold predictions about the Dawgs winning everything? How is this news? He's an idiot.
 
South Carolina is loaded?

The same South Carolina that went 6-6 this year and is sitting at home for the holidays is loaded?

If they are loaded, then we must be playing for the NFC Title next year because our season was far more successful than the Gamecocks.

Spurrier has won 7, 8 and 6 games the past 3 years at Carolina.

I personally think Ugag beats Spurrier into submission next year. However, their schedule is far too difficult to win the national title.

Now, Spurrier has one of the best DC's around and another year of getting his recruits at S.C.

Bradley is just getting in the spirit early. Every year from the day after the national championship game until the first Dawg loss the Atlanta media treats them like champions. Mark just got carried away and could not wait until January 8 this year.

I still remember the article he wrote after the '02 season, promising that the Dawgs would overtake Oklahoma as the next CFB dynasty, David Greene would be an All-American in '03, and Kregg Lumpkin would win the '03 Heisman only if fellow TB Michael Cooper didn't take it away from him.

It's the same canned fecal matter each year, just with a few different names.

I look forward to watching alot of dawg losses next year. I live for the double whammy: Saturdays when GT wins and UGag loses. I think we've only had one this year so far, but it overshadowed by our win being Samford.

The only good dawg is a dead dawg. :biggthumpup:

which means UGA will most likely represent the east so...if they win the SECCG....as LSU did this year(with 2 losses) they'll probably go to the BCSCG. unfortunate but probable.

I hope that they get all whipped up in a frenzy. They should go undefeated or someone needs to pay!!!

Richt doesn't make the championship game (which is possible but not probable) then he might find Athens is not such a warm and friendly place after all.

You gotta be kidding. To the nad-licker nation, Richt is like a robust pile of garbage. A mere sniff of his butt has them wagging their tails uncontrollably and piddling all over the floor.

If he fails to deliver the SECCG again, they'll just write it off to bad officiating, claim to be co-division champions who didn't get in due to bias, or some other sort of nonsense.

They're on an unprecedented seven year high. One loss to Tech (especially one in Athens) coupled with another unexpected loss to a team like Vandy will get the stomachs turning a little. It'll take a Donnan-esque three year run (1-8 vs UT, UF, & GT) to get them really riled up with the Reverend though.

I beg to differ. I was at the UGAg-Ark game two years ago in Athens when Ark almost came back at the end and won. You would have thought that Richt had screwed UGA(the pooch) on the 50 yard line. They were cussing him and spitting at him, it was nasty. Then last year I was there for the Vandy-UGAg game. Once again I heard more than 1 gagger say they wanted to ship him back to FSU. You just watch. Expectations get that high and the dawgies stumble once or twice and it will get hot in the kitchen in Athens.

Is it his Daddy or Daddy-in-law that owns the Urinal? I've never been able to understand why that UGAy homer has a top job over there. Gal Friday/gopher/shoe shine boy perhaps.

The AJC will have to purge itself of all UGAgers before I'll take them seriously. Never happen. The dawgs are wunnerful aren't they?

All of the information in this thread is about as accurate

as Quincy Carter throwing against SC in 2000.

1) I didn't see a lot of bold UGA championship predictions in 2007, 2006, 2003, 2001, 1999....

I saw some in 2000 when we brought back a lot of talent. Same thing in 2004.

But there are NUMEROUS seasons when most of us UGA fans know that it is not in the cards for us. Every year at the rivals.com UGA site they do a poll on predicting the record for the upcoming season and there are usually several thousand responses. In the past two (06 and 07) polls the majority of picks have been in the 9-3 / 8-4 range.

The notion that the majority of UGA fans pick UGA to play for a NC every year is completely inaccurate / false / unfounded.

2) I have not seen a lot of UGA fans calling for Richt to be fired under any circumstances. I have seen grumblings here and there about his play calling over the past few years (before he turned the offense over to Bobo). That happens everywhere. But no uproar from a lot of fans to have Richt fired.

I am not going to claim that NOBODY has said to fire him. There are always a few fools after a loss that talk like that, for EVERY team.

3) Mark Bradley has taken as many shots at UGA as he has made positive remarks. He has no ties to UGA and is a University of Kentucky graduate (I believe).

4) Interesting how we as fans only tend to remember the comments from writers or sports talk hosts that incite our inner hatred.

Or we hear one fan of an opposing team make a bold prediction and run with it, generalizing it as the sentiment of the entire fanbase.

Regarding Mark Bradley's comments, I personally would have waited until after the Sugar Bowl to print such a prediction. If UGA gets beaten by HI the hype will die down a little.

I will say this, though....

The potential of this UGA program right now is scary. The talent it is assembling is sick. I have confidence in saying that on talent alone UGA will be on the same level as NC contenders like USC, LSU, OK, OSU, UF. If not in 2008 then definitely in 2009.

Am I predciting that UGA will play for or even win a NC? Nope. There's more than talent required to do that, and so far Richt's staff has not proven that they can lead a team to a NC game. Nobody proves it until they do it.

I am taking a "show me" and "believe it when I see it" approach.

But like I said, the talent will be there. There's more talent being assembled at UGA than I have ever seen.

That's strange. I have confidence in saying the same thing about Tech. With the addition of CPJ, the potential of this GT program right now is scary and the talent he has to work with place us on the same level as NC contenders as USC, LSU, OK, OSU, UF. The best part is that it will be in 2008. We won't have to wait until 2009.

Wow! This delusional thinking stuff can really go to your head. I sort of like it.

Did I predict that UGA will beat UF next year in my post? No.

I said that UGA will be on the same level as UF from a talent standpoint; possibly as early as the 2008 season but definitely 2009.

That doesn't mean that I am predicting UGA to beat UF in 08.
