Here are some pictures I took of BDS on our nations birthday.

Know the quality of my pics aren't as good as many. It's with an inexpensive digital camera. Hope to be buying something nicer by the time football season starts.

For additional Pictures use the album link on the side. Hope you enjoy.

No doubt that Grant Field is a Grand Field!!?!

Its hard for me to believe all of the progress thats been made since the removal of the south stands in the 80's... Beeware said it best... Grand Field...

Jacketguy, I agree. Place has really been transformed. When hanging out down there I can't help but remember my first game and those games in 70's. My father bought me and my bro season tickets for first time in 73 as part of the "End Zone Gang" that sat in the old south horse shoe. Have had season tickets ever since. Place doesn't look the same. Sure like what I see down there.

Beeware was being a smart A with his comment about "Grand Field." The headline on webpage is "Boddy Dodd Stadium Home of Grand Field."

Trying to learn some about posting pictures and such with a new el cheapo digital camera. It's been fun. By time season starts I hope to be able to do more while also purchasing a better camera.

I think the key to all this is that not only are we getting bigger, but we're getting better. It's one thing to add some seats. But we're taking this opportunity to center the field and neutralize the view-blocking columns and mystery liquid. In the end, it'll be a stadium where all seats are good seats. That's the key. No matter where you sit, you'll get a good view of the action.

Keep posting the pictures.

A couple and I taking a look at things on the 4th were starting to get the fell that the upper deck of the north stands going in during phase two will be better than people think. That sucker is going to be high and closer to the field than how it looks in drawings. Have been to Penn State several times since they've added their end zone upper decks. They are much farther back than what it's going to be at GT. It's not a bad view honestly. People are going to like being in the end zone and other places in the stadium for different reasons. During Jacket D goal line stand and our Jackets marching for a TD, the end zones will be fun. Yes, I know I'm blowing gold smoke, but I'm excited. Feel I have a right to be.

My thanks to you for posting the pics... I try to get down there about once every two weeks just to see how things are going... but dont have a digi camera... my first game there was actually a Peach Bowl... it snowed like crazy that night... my first Tech/Ga game there was the '75 game... Ga really put it to Tech that night... the thing I remember most was the whiskey bottles flying out of the upper deck East stands onto the Ugag fans on the bottom... I also remember the PA guy loved saying E.O. Wheelers name... LOL... things have sure changed at the stadium... I do think we have alot to be proud of ... the football facilities have come a long way in the past 20 years...

Ditto on the photos Terrific. For us long distance folks its the next best thing to being there. Nice job! I also agree with the comments about the soon to be "upper North." They should be quality seats and I can't wait to sit in them.
The new South as well as opposed to the old days when the old South stands were practically useless except for a pass into the stadium (or a place to sit visitors).

Wardlaw actually looks good like this. Before it was a big out of place building, but it looks like it fits in this new design. I like it

Yeah, Wardlaw never looked right for some reason. Something about the field and corners down there with the chrubs. Not sure actually what it was.

Took a tour of that facility when it was opened. Was very impressed. Serious weight room facility!!! People don't have clue to how much that building has helped this football program.

The stadium is matching up well with Wardlaw. Just wait when the stadium has grass, goal posts, and paint!!

I've been wondering if the GT will be in middle of field. Surely it will. Really missed it last home game last year.

The big "GT" better be on the middle of the new field, or I'll be one very disappointed, P.O.'d TECH fan!
