I haven't seen this mentioned, sorry if it's a repeat.

I went to the "Dodd After Dark" movie last weekend and noticed some pretty significant renovations going on at the stadium considering we're a bit over a month out from the first home game.
  • Looks like they've been replacing all of the upper west bleachers
  • The Jumbotron appears to be gone and the hole is covered with tarps - are we getting a new one?
  • The press box looks pretty gutted - definitely under construction
  • Ribbon boards on north and west stands appear to be undergoing maintenance
  • I think there used to be some short ribbon boards on the front of those weird concrete decks coming out of the east boxes, and they are not there anymore
  • Looks like they are preparing to install a couple of new ribbon boards on the front of the Wardlaw Center on either side of the middle below the boxes
Seems like an awful lot of work to get done in a month or so, but I'll be curious to see how it all turns out.

The Jumbo was to be updated/fixed.

Yeah I posted something about that a few months ago. They actually found thru testing that it was interfering with cellular signals.

Should I wear a yellow tin foil hat to the games?

Subtle repost police job. Very good.

I often wondered with the cuts and speed we want to run our offense with and the crap condition I've seen comments about the playing surface why would we not go to the new field turf a lot of college and pro teams are using?

Here's the turf you want, right here.

That was more like asphalt painted green from what I remember hearing. I'm thinking the newest type made out of recycled tires. Lol

That chain link can be sexy in the right string...

When we replaced the MNC turf with, I believe, a newer turf my old neighbor went down the GF and cut a big square from the old turf.
He proceeded to plant it in an honored spot in his backyard.

It is true - it never needed water / cutting / or fertilizer.

What are we, the goldjackets? :bigcry:

Now that, sir, is a spot on question!

What if, years ago, we had started using an LSU, mich., USC goldish yellowish color where the hats could easily match the pants or shirts?

Hmmm.
