BDS -Section 222

I've never really thought that 50 yard line seats were that much better for football....for the biggest moments in any given game, you're almost guaranteed to have only an average view. If you're on the goalline it's a coin flip, you either strain your neck or you have the absolute best seat in the house.

QFT.

I am 16 rows up on the 25 yard line. I wouldn't trade the seats for anything. Perfect view of the south side of the field plus I can still see the north side pretty good.

i'm seriously considering the triple deuce. row 5 popped up a few weeks ago and now its up to 8. need to just pull the trigger.

i love that end of the field because it has easy access from where i generally tailgate.

i love the upper east because i think it has to have some of the most intimate seats in most of major D1 programs. i haven't been to a lot of stadiums but the UE is right on top of the field! it's so close and goes straight up. most decks are going to be much further back and aren't going to be as steep. i'm sure there are some steeper but they're 30 yards further away and 30 yards higher.

i prefer to be a little higher than the lower east and west because you can see the yardage markings of the whole field.

it also sounds like there are going to be some rowdy stingtalkers=loud drunken yelling. which to me makes the game that much more exciting.

does anybody in there know if there's generally kids around? i ask because i'm pretty bad with the expletive slips.

if i get the funds together thats the section i'll buy.

i'd forgotten about this thread...i won't use my "stinger" pinky:laugher:

The seats are actually 15 yards closer to the field, and a lot lower. The bottom of the upper east is about as high as the top of the lower west, or press box level.

I moved from west to east about 10 years ago. 206 has a good view, but you're right, the east is a lot closer to the field --just don't forget your hat and sunglasses.

...Anyone know how many seats there are in the rows?

I called ticket info about rows and the number of seats in certain sections but didn't get a clear-cut answer. I do know that in the upper east 224 & 226 have more seats per row than 222-3-5-7-8.

I used this rational to convince myself to go ahead and make the move from 224 to 222. In 224 I was on the 30. In 222, I think I'm going to be around the 5 yard line, maybe right on the goal line.

I would agree with you about the intimacy of the UE stands. If you can still get seats within the first 12 or so rows especially. It really is quite close to the field considering that you're in the 2nd level, and it's much lower to the field than the West stands.

I sit in row 9 of 222, and yes there are usually some kids around. In fact, there's a guy who has sat in row 8 for a few years who usually comes with his young sons. I would say the crowd there is usally about 50% young alums, some older alums, and there's always a sprinkling of the other teams fans for big games. I for one enjoy talking to the other teams fans, and I've found them to be good natured in general (dawg fans excepted). Anyway, come on up to 222! I'm sure you and your kids will enjoy it.

I've sat in 222 row 6 for about 5 seasons now and love it. We've got a block of around 10-12 and would be one of the "rowdy", but very friendly, groups mentioned already...

Nice to see so many people joining us in 222 this fall!
