Beano says Notrah Dame loses to Fla in BCS

i think Pitt is their second toughest, its also away

Pitt is supposed to be down this year. They lost some good players. But I will say that the only games I see ND losing are to USC (who also lost a ton of players), and the Pitt and Stanford games. By the end of the year, Pitt and Stanford could actually be competitive.

But generally speaking, ND is playing a schedule largely made up of 1 Top Ten Team and 11 Top 60 Teams. If they lose to USC, then the BCS computers should keep them out of the BCS. But the voters always win in the new system so they're in.

Most likely, either Michigan State or Pitt will be ranked by the start of week 2. Both of those teams are close to the top 25. People seem to forget that. Fat Chuck cannot be happy with the expectations being placed on his team.

Pitt is going to be a walkover. BC might beat them though.

Pitt is going to be a walkover.

Pitt beat them in a trash can full of overtimes last year in South Bend. Look for them to take care of bidness again this year. MSU also tends to have their share of luck against the Irish also.

Boston College is going to be a bad team this year....I think it may be their first losing season in a long long time.

They lack returning starters, have no decent QB's, lack star power, and they have the head coach equivalent of what WVa did. They saved the time and money of a coaching search and just made a lifetime assistant the head coach.

They lost their best three defensive players by far in Raji, Brace, and Herzlich....and still have big-time problems at QB....and they were only 9-5 with all of those guys last year along with a good head coach.

They have a lot of problems.

They will lose to USC, Mich State or Purdue, Pitt or Navy. I predict somewhere between 6-6 and 9-3. Michigan and BC will be competitive. Predicting to play for championship is ridiculous.

That's OK, the genius that is Mike Golic guaranteed they beat So Cal this year on Mike & Mike this morning; so clearly all these senile old bastards are spot on that ND will go undefeated and clean up with whomever they play in the title game. They will certainly be big game tested, after that 12 game schedule.

Of course maybe Golic was just rooting for them because he's an alum and has 2 kids on the roster...I don't know?

He also predicted Philadelphia to win the NFC. He's a homer.

Yep. And they're only getting worse. Maybe Jags got out at the right time and left Spaziani with a flaming bag on the doorstep.

Navy is their second toughest game this year and they've beaten Navy 95% of the games played in the last 50 years.
Michigan State and Pitt will beat them IMO. BC and UConn might and it wouldn't shock me if Michigan does. Add in SC and I say at least 3 losses.
