Beeware may or may not bee right about Gailey....

He's over 50, and has exactly one year as a head coach (West Georgia), and one year as a Co-offensive coordinator (Memphis).

Sorry if I came on a little strong, but that's not the resume I want for our head coach.

You can't go by one game. Reference: Bill Lewis, Peach Bowl.

Nice guy? Yes. Good line coach, probably. Good choice for our head coach? No way.

Support who we've got.

Let's say that Tech fumbles on that last TD in the Seatle Bowl...and they return it for a TD. Tech goes on to lose. That wouldn't have been Mac's fault, but would those who sing his praises STILL be singing them if we lose? Mac did not have a background to suggest he could be a head coach. One win doesn't qualify him for one. Finally, there is one more issue that must be addressed: HE IS NOT OUR COACH ANYMORE...GAILEY IS!

All I read for the past 2 weeks was how great Tech looked and how Gailey was doing a great job. He loses one game and BOOM! chicken littles everywhere are coming out of the woodwork exclaiming that Tech is destined for ruin.

I know that for some of you, the opinions will never change. Beeware will never like Gailey. If Tech fails, it's Gailey's fault. If Tech succeeds, it's because of anyone BUT Gailey. For the rest of you...here's my advice:

Wait until at least the first half of the season is over to pass judgement on how we are doing. Remember, this staff hasn't even been together for a full year yet. I can't see us as going anywhere but up now, as we are still improving.

Also, don't post out of anger or frustration. I know I'm guilty of this, but look how it's making Tech fans appear. With the internet, one loud voice can he heard much more than 100 calm quiet ones. Those that panic only hurt us. People on other boards read this stuff...just like we read theirs. You have no idea how much it stung to see the UConn board talking about Beeware and using HIM as the typical Tech fan's perspective, when in reality it's the minority.

Show support for our team and coaches. If at the end of this season these type of games keep up, then we may have reason to do some questioning. In the meantime, just accept it and move forward. Remember, Richt screwed up a TON of calls last year, and UGA is in pretty good position now(overrated, but still good position). Just give it a chance.

But Tech did not fumble and Tech won...and Mac and the staff prepared the team and they made the adjustments during the game..they deserve the credit. Gailey and his crowd stunk up the joint in Clemson. They deserve the blame...very simple.

Regardless, nothing is going to happen right now, the jury is out but as a LONG time Tech backer I think we are in serious trouble. I hope Gailey turns out to a second coming of Dodd but I think he has a weak staff and a too laid back attitude and Saturday did nothing to change my mind! I hope we see a much different Tech performance versus BYU because what we witnessed this past Saturday won't beat very many teams on our schedule.

Well, Chan finally got that first loss out of the way. I still say that this is a great staff, and I honestly think that Chan knows we played stupid football. If we know it, Chan has to know it. We played so poorly that we have tons of room of improvement. Let's see how this staff has this team prepared for the rest of the way. The season is young, and I'm sure that many of you said the same thing after the BC loss a few years back. Let's give this staff some time before we throw the towel in on them.
