Beeware\'s wrong again

Beeware,

IT WAS O'BRIEN WHO DISLIKED BILBO. BOB was the one who was upset Bilbo was struggling with the playbook.

Beeware stated
Although Chan made many rookie mistakes last year, the biggest and costliest may have been not allowing Coach O'Brien to play Bilbo more.
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Beeware do you just sit around and make stuff up? If you did not piss everyone off people would probably tell you what the hell is going on. If you are going to keep this schtick up you are going to need to go out to the practices and do your own investigation.

I have defended you in the past but now I am wondering are you just flat out LYING?

You have to understand that there are MANY on this board who know what really happened.

If you don't know something then say YOU DON'T KNOW!

Do not mislead people to further your own conclusions.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

Whoever made the mistake they goofed big time!!!

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

law_bee, just wondering if you had any firsthand account of that or a link that you could share. I'm interested in hearing more details about what went on, if the information isn't considered too private or sensitive.

Just throwing a random idea out there -- if this is true and O'Brien was the one who had the problem with Bilbo all along, then could Gailey have been trying to avoid embarassing O'Brien with his comments about Bilbo last season? At the beginning, it was a pretty close race between AJ and Bilbo, but towards the end of the season, Gailey did say that AJ was the last drop back-only QB that he was in essence going to coach at GT. I wonder if by then Gailey was stuck between a rock and a hard place by having Bilbo's inexperience out there versus AJ's ineffectiveness.

Just an early morning, got out of bed thought. My mind is not fully awake yet.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

I, of course don't know but unlike BS beeware I'm not about to lie and make things up just to satisfy my vanity. I guess one can lie to one's self long enough and then you begin to believe your own lies. Me thinks that BW needs to see a shrink. I was roundly critized on the hive for saying that Ogone would be at ND back in Sept. then I repeated it again in Oct. of 2001. I did have inside info at ND and even quoted who told me although I did not name them. So if you BW have names or places lets hear who told you what or are you in the mind of BOB and or CCG?

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

Gailey decided that Suggs was the QB during the first week of spring practice last year (maybe even before spring practice, actually).

Andy Hall, the QB heir apparent, left before the end of spring practice, not because of competition, but because Gailey had made his mind up without any competition.

Coach O'Brien was hampered with Gailey's choice of QB and his meddling in the offense all season; and left, and was immediately grabbed up by the Fridge to make his outstanding staff at Maryland even stronger.

TECH is playing catch-up at QB this year because of decisions that Coach Gailey made....PERIOD.

Who knows....maybe we can win this year in spite of the coaching.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

beeware is outdoing himself. we will win this year and it won't be in spite of the coaching.

in fact, it is NOT possible to win in football in spite of the coaching.

beeware, the BS meter is broken, you broke the BS meter.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">This is incorrect! Did Santa Claus tell you this? Or was it the Easter Bunny?

Like I said earlier you need to speak w/ someone in the know. If you did not alienate everyone then you would be better informed.

It was O'Brien that had a problem w/ Bilbo and from what I understand it was a BIG problem.

That is a FACT.

Now maybe it is CG's fought for letting O'Brien make the decision and/or relying on O'Brien's judgement. But lets be realistic. A.J. was a much heralded QB coming out of college and there were not many if any complaining about A.J. running the offense.

Beeware maybe you are just uninformed. Maybe someone is lying to you. I suggest you try to make some friends who are close to the program. Then you will be MORE informed when you post.

shocked.gif
and did not coach chan gailey say in the AJC and RAMBLINGWRECK.COM that he knew where AJ SUGGS and BRAIN CAMP was BUT) he didn't know where DBO was. i kinda lean towards law_bee (NO I DO AGREE WITH LAW_BEE)because if the problem was CHAN GAILEY then the problem would still be here. CHAN is giving DBO a great chance to show what he can do.THANKS COACH AND THANKS GUYS THAT REALLY SUPPORT GT!!!!!!!!!!!!

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">are you saying that you have a SOURCE for your information? Because I have not read that in ANY of you posts.

All I read are these BOLD ALLEGATIONS that are based on your "astute" knowledge of the game of football.

I suggest you go to a practice and do some investigation.

Whether you believe it does not matter b/c your credibility is nil. What you have to understand is that MANY know the TRUTH and they just let your banter pass by w/o responding.

I am just interested to know if SOMEONE is lying to you.

You do understand that this is a GT board and that many who read this board are VERY close to the program.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

Come on L-Bee you know bull s--- bw will not answer you. He doesn't know anything and just makes up stuff to bash CCG. He lies so much that he starts to believe his own lies.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

I have a brilliant idea.

BeeWare: Try this. Admit the possibility of Gailey's success at Tech. You are not GOD. You've no clue as to what will happen this season, neither do we. The difference between us and you, is that we recognize both ends of the spectrum, while you see that failure is the absolute and most certain destiny of this program under Gailey.

I noticed that you said PERIOD as though what you say is the last word. What a joke. You make so many claims but can provide not ONE SHRED of proof. Obviously, you know jack about the program, nor do you care to.

99:1 he will not address what I have said, and if he does he will do it while quoting only one part of my post.)

I can't beelieve I use to disagree with the chance of him being banned. But BeeWare, there is a difference between stating a well-based opinion and hacking away at Gailey with no regard to any chances of his sucess.

Man, I just can't seem to stay away from these topics....ah well...

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

BSWare doesn't have a clue. If he did, he would say where he got the info. He is worse than 20ozBulldog used to be, just wanting to stir up problems.
Sad, it's just sad..

GT Dean, if there was a contest, there is no doubt, you would win the "Best Avatar" award.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

My new (well almost new) wife's observation on beeware she just said "beeware is also probably for Iraq as well" good guess on her part.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

Indeed GT Dean, your avatar is the best I've seen.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

I really am not sure that I know who I believe was responsible for the QB snafu last season. I remember last spring Chan stated that AJ was number 1 and that Bilbo was number 1A. When fall practice started he seemed to have the same sentiments and it seemed to happen suddenly Bilbo
wasn't capable of understanding the offense and AJ did. I can tell you guys something I know for sure because I heard Chan tell the Macon Touchdown Club that "we have one QB {AJ} who understands the offense but doesn't seem capable of executing it and we havea young QB{BILBO} that
understands 20% of the offense but has good talent
but we have to scale back his package because of his problems in graspingthe offense. We are going to add to his package and rep it up on the practice field before taking it to the game" I may not be quoting him verbatim but this is an accurate representation of the gist of his remarks. Now immediately when I heard Chan say that Bilbo Understood 20 % of the offense I remembered what he had said earlier about the two QB's being number 1 and 1A and wondered if the kid had regressed. So enough contradicting comments has come from the staff itself to confuse
most of us. Of course if there was problems on the staff Chan couldn't have told us that at that time.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

Like BigBuck, I believe communications coming from GTAA were at best confusing last season. Unlike some others I withheld judgment on responsibility until after the UGA game, then I blamed Gailey. More so because he is the captain of the ship, where the buck stops ( no pun intended).

Others, like Ahsoisee, tried to look inside the program and sort out the root of the problem; thinking BOB might not have jelled with Chan, perhaps he wasn't nearly as good without the Fridge around. I too remember sitting in the stands and watching the Peach Bowl debut for things to come.

Well, GTAA has sorted it out to GTAA's satisfaction, Gailey is still head coach and BOB is gone. Further, Bilbo is back at the top of the heap for the quarterback position.

Frankly, I don't care if it was BOB's fault or Gailey's fault that Bilbo didn't play more, and I don't care to debate whether GO'L was better or worse than Gailey, much less how Gailey stacks up to the Fridge. Unless, my memory is faulty, none that left were fired, not GO'L, not Fridge, not even BOB.

Beeware, this is the coaching staff that has signed on to represent Tech for 2003 so they deserve our support until AND IF the prove they don't merit that support.

Your continued harping on the mistakes of the current staff and your overlooking of the faults of their predecessors is more than a little old. Perhaps this faulty use of analytical methods also results in your decidedly liberal bent.

Most of you that have followed my posts in the past know I have refrained from criticizing fellow Tech fans. With this one exception, I'll continue that policy.

Having said that, for all his faults, I do believe Beeware is a Tech man and fan. IMO, some of you pile on with a little too much enthusiasm on every Beeware comment.

Re: Beeware\'s wrong again

Not only is bwuss probably for irak, he most likely is part french too. I think at some point in his life CG rebuked his advances. The really sad thing is, if CG gains a measure of success at GT, bwuss will still be critical.
