Bench the Seniors...Time to Move On

They are going to deliver us 3 losing seasons in 4 years (1 UGA win that I’ll never forget). Time to move on from the disappointing class of 2018/19. Need to be showcasing the under classmen for our new coach.

Yeah, that'll certainly shore things up.....

LOL. We are 1-2 and only one game into the ACC schedule. Some people need to see about getting on a mood stabilizing medication.

There is absolutely nothing wrong, nuthin rong, nothhen wong, .................

You get banned for speaking truth around here? Benching them all is maybe not the right course of action, but it is definitely a strategy that is defensible based on the results so far. Just sayin'...
Why is it not the right course of action? We are going to win four games this year, two of which will be Bowling Green and Alcorn. The seniors have done next to zero. Not entirely their fault, but if next year and the next year and the next year mean anything, then play the youngsters now. TaQuon should be the first to sit.

1-2 through perhaps our easiest stretch. I would love to see a couple of season saving upsets, but hitting the panic button isnt an unreasonable reaction.

So you want Paul, who has to feel like he’s on the hot seat and must win games to save his job, to sit his experienced players (whatever that’s worth) to try out his young kids? I see where your head is at but that’s not how Cfb works at all.

I’d argue it may give him the excuse he needs to hide behind. Hell, we have the Braves 5 years of sucking because they were “building for the future.” What’s worse, 5 wins with a senior stacked team, or 4 with your green (yet talented) players of the future?

Mostly referring to James Graham here.

One article comes out about this guy and suddenly we can't live without him.

I was pretty hyped the day he commited to play here, personally. It would probably be dumb to play him right now, but as a fan in a downturn, you always want reasons to hope.

Let's take the guys that have worked hard 12 months a year for 4 to 5 years and have earned the top spot at their position and toss them aside, and give his position to a young player who hasn't earned it.

In general, I agree. However, put him in at the slot position and chuck him the ball in space and let's see what he can do when the only thing between him and the endzone is his athletic ability.

Yeah, this was apparently the plan until Lucas Johnson got hurt.

Not sure I understand what Lucas Johnson has to do with it. TM can surely dump it over the line to a slanting JG then sit back and let the man show his wares.

CPJ feels he needs a dedicated third string QB who does only that. We will see, though. Despeeate times and all...
