Unquestionably it was when we played against ND in 2006.

Opening game on national television at night with a good shot to beat a super-hyped up ND team...

I think that's the only sold-out night game we've had in a while.
 
I managed to miss the 06 Notre Dame game, but there was a heaping helping of atmosphere at last year's UGAg game. Georgia fans were drooling over their chances to go to the big time and we were sure we had a great chance to knock them off. First time I've ever been bear-hugged by 270+ lb stranger.

The 2003 Auburn game was rather memorable for that reason as well. Auburn hadn't been discounted from the national picture yet and we had no idea what kind of team we had. New uniforms, new stadium, new team and after Curry nearly went yard to light the candle, the place was electric.
 
For a game that I went to, probably the F$U game in '02. We played like **** at times and should've won (like so many of the F$U games), but let them off the hook. Despite all the mistakes, BDS was rocking all afternoon. The Clempsun game last year was pretty close to that also.

As far as games I didn't make it to, the '06 ND game, the '98 UVA game, and '92 F$U game all come to mind.
 
06 ND was my first thought when reading this thread title aas well. I think we were standing most of the game, and it was very loud! Loudest I had ever seen!

06 ND was a great atmosphere the whole time through
03 Auburn grew into amazing by the end of the game
05 UGA was also a great atmosphere until the last 2 minutes
 
Hrm... prolly was the game last fall right after I ate the Homewrecker at Mo's. I forget which one it was - maybe Clemson.

You do know that AJ Suggs had Chromes(sp?) disease, right? He couldn't help it that Chan wanted to play him. Anyways who did we have to play over him? Bilbo couldn't even remember the plays.....
 
I have to say that 2006 Notre Dame, the team and the crowd seemed to die in the 4th quarter, imo.

I thought the 2003 Maryland Game Thursday Night game where we won 7-3 was one of the most exciting that had everyone out of their seats.

In terms of intense, probably 2002 FSU. I don't think I've seen that much stuff thrown before, although BC last year probably came close....
 
1962 Alabama. My mother almost got into a fight with a drunk Bama fan but no one would have noticed with the shower of liquor bottles being thrown at the Bear. 1966 Tennessee. Bobby Dodd classic. Tennessee was ranked 8th in the nation. Jacket defense shut them down.
