Best band in college football?

objectively, our band is outclassed by most other schools. as far as I remember from friends who played in the band, we don't actually have a music program so it's just a group of people who enjoy playing music and volunteer to be in marching band.

And there's nothing wrong with that ...

I'm a die-hard lifelong Tech fan (son of an alum), and a USCw grad.

The best college bands are 1. USCw 1a. Stanford

My gf's dad and sister are both Stanford alum's and were/are in the band. He's around 65 and still plays with them for a few games each year. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a more fun band in the country.

They do a lot of mocking of opponents with their formations/songs too.

I wonder how they would mock us. They probably wouldn't call us nerds, from what I've seen.

At the Seattle Bowl their angle was making fun of all these things in Mississippi (or maybe it was Alabama? I can't remember exactly) insinuating they couldn't even tell the difference between Georgia and those other states. I was a little disappointed, frankly.

I thought most of the band nerds were on the hive? That said, the JSU Marching Southerners are strong, very strong,.....if you're in to that kind of stuff.

Alcorn State's marching band is known as the "Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite". The band has more than 220 members and was founded in the 1960s. The "Golden Girls" (GGs) is an established dance squad that has been featured with the marching band since its inception.

I think I'll watch the halftime show when we play Alcorn State.
