I’m uneducated on this stuff. I think GT would be a good draw, but it all comes down to money. I wanted to put all the teams left in the Big 12, Pac 12 and ACC in the poll, but there weren’t enough options.

I assume Oregon and Washington are stupid enough to publicly apply for the BIG without knowing the answer. Choose 6 teams you think will go.

Which one will lead to more money, expanding your geographical footprint or getting the best team now? Or something else?

Clemson, Miami, FSU, ND, GT & OKST

OKST just barely over Baylor and Stanford

I think despite the current state of our program GT maintains a strong case based on geographics and history

Tech is only a good draw to Tech fans. Small stadium, small fan base, low ticket/merch sales, and right now just not good at football.

I think GT is a good draw due to history and the ATL. It makes a relatively easy and convenient road trip for most fans anywhere and is a good destination for fans, especially in smaller areas like Bloomington, Stillwater, Blacksburg, Starkville, etc.

It'll be interesting to me if Miami gets courted by the B1G or the SEC. They are a small private school and their football team is nowhere near what it used to be. They've always been something of a paradox to me.

Tech has some positives. 1- it has always shown that it’s a reliable conference mate even when getting ööööed by the rest of the conference. 2- Atlanta is a great and easy trip for nearly any team in that we are some rural outpost. 3- right now our important sports suck so we aren’t seen as getting in the way of someone’s championship teams. 4- Our sports that don’t matter are pretty decent.

In terms of attractiveness to conferences, we are neither as good nor bad as we seem.

Yeah, this. Honestly we look better than I thought we would when put together on a list like this, even with our flaws. Lots of other schools with stronger football programs at this moment in time are much less attractive when viewed in their totality.

We’re the clear next-in-line after ND/FSU/Clemson/Miami. Every other one is just a weaker version of us from the perspective of realignment.

Ummm. Not sure I agree with that. Pittsburgh, VT, UVA, and BC field better teams and i’m not going to even compare the home game attendance and fan support.

Agree, We can barely fill ours 50% with our own fanbase. It's not a matter of opinions on this as it's completely money driven. We have it, Alumni have it, yet we can't sell tickets due to the product or lack there of

Yeah okay. Do the attendance and fan support comparison with Pitt, UVA, and BC over the last decade or even longer. We are easily above Pitt and BC and not far behind UVA.

All things considered I have the following tiers of overall likelihood of being taken:
ND - Strong take by SEC or B10
GT - Strong take by SEC or B10
UNC - Strong take by SEC or B10, but intrastate politics might keep them from accepting B10 invite
UVA - Moderate take by SEC or B10, but intrastate politics might keep them from accepting B10 invite
CU/VPI - Strong takes by SEC
FSU/UM/NCSU - Average takes by SEC

I can't see UVA leaving the ACC and leaving their instate and conference rivals behind. I don't think the B10 will budge on AAU membership except for ND. So UVA would have to be a package deal with VPI to SEC. I don't see UNC being able to leave the shackles of the state in any scenario.

We can go with any other takes and no strings attached.
