Big 10 unded.

IF there's a God of all things Football and Justice....

They take the ACC, SEC and B12 champs in the CFB playoff...and their standard second team from south of the mason/dixon line...and leave the LIL10 out! And it'd be even sweeter if it were an 8-0 Buckeye Bunch!! Nothing i'd rather see....

I wonder if the other conferences who are playing longer schedules will cry foul. It's already a little weird that the ACC is playing 11 games while the SEC and Big 12 are playing 10, but I guess that's self-inflicted. I could see the conferences playing 10/11 game schedules being none too pleased with a team playing 8 games getting into the playoffs.

I expect GT to have more wins than their champion this year.

They are looking real bad in this process and considering the last ten years of BS coming out of them, I'm grateful.

Also their games will be late in the year when it has the chance to be pretty cold and awful out. I don't think that's going to help them in recruiting either when the southern recruits see just how bad the weather is for six months every year.

They are desperately trying to look like the "adults in the room" rather than the arrogant dummies who were caught with their pants down and no plan for putting a season together when the time came.

Very proud of the way the ACC handled this.

8 games is pretty much meaningless. The B1G is a joke and this is pure desperation at this point. Their protocols call for having a Covid positive player sit out 21 days :rotfl:

If they are in the playoffs, that's BS. The other teams will be waiting around for a month getting rusty. I really think there's an advantage to not having a long layoff

No, they are following 'the science'. 'The Science' has dictated a 10/24 start date and 21 day quarantine for a positive test. You may not be aware, but 2 of the Big 10's presidents have medical backgrounds. They can understand 'the science' where others may not be able to do so.

Are we still two weeks behind Italy? I mean that is what the Science told us. Right? The CDC disagrees with the B1G on the quarantine issue so no, they aren't following the science.

The CFP has already said their minimum standard for consideration in their rankings is bowl eligibility - so 6 wins. This rushed 9-game season appears engineered to give Ohio State a chance to get to 6 even if they have to quarantine (which could impact up to 3 games), just before the final selection.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the schedule aligns all the patsies up in the first 6 weeks for OSU, so they can then "get COVID" and sit the rest of the season at 6-0. They have enough clout with the 13-member committee to get in at 6-0.

I was joking dude. Actually poking fun at the Big 10 for continuing to say throughout this mess that they are following 'the science'.

Yeah, I guess their last 3 bowl losses were all Clemson. I just always associate Ohio State with losing to Auburn, U[sic]GA, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina (x2), Florida (x2), LSU, etc. in bowls since the 90s when I really started paying attention to college football.

Looks like they did beat Alabama once during that run, and beat Arkansas but then had to vacate it.

Don't forget ol' Virginia Polytechnic beat them during their 2014 national championship season, too. ACC, ACC, ACC!

So the PAC12 is toast, and the other 4 send 1 each because we have no way to know which conference is actually best until the CFP plays out.

It's almost as if a conference-champions-only disclaimer should have been on there in the first place and Notre Dame would have joined a conference to get into the party.

Sitting around getting rusty and getting exposed to Rona virus during the holidays.
