Nix just showed us how REAL and GOOD he really is.

Defense was huge.

OLIne played great. Didn't like the pitch plays 4 yards in the backfield, but hey, great overall. I love Dunman starting at LG. Its about time!!!

Calvin, we are not worthy. You are all world, and we thank you for choosing to play your college football at GT. Player of the game.

Reggie played fantastic with the exception of 3 plays, two INT's and the unsportsmanlike. Fellas, Reggie is surpassing my expectations of him in his final year.

Wheeler and Hall. Best tandem since Brooking and Rogers.

Jahi despite getting unlucky on a couple of plays, played a great game. He is going to be good. He was never beat, always in the play, and very well could have had 2-3 INTS.

Special Teams.... FINALLY!!!!

Great win. Don;t get complacent, lets beat Fridge next week!

Most definitely. Give Tashard Choice his due as well. A great game for him with 100+ yards rushing and two scores.

I don't know how many times I've complained about the special teams this season, but they did a great job today and it was great to see the other team have consistently poor starting field position for once.

BOR,

I've got some good stuff for you. Grade-A USDA-Certified premium crow and a whole lot of it.

Not trying to be a smartass, just having some fun with ya. We're now in the driver's seat for the train to Jacksonville and we're all happy today.

BTW, you watch these things. Did Dunmon play a lot today instead of #61? Really I would be happy whether it was improvement from #61 or great play from Trey, because I thought the OL played phenomenal. They KNEW we were running it in the second half and we still got a TD.

Edit:Crap, kinda glazed over your Trey started at LG line. Sorry about that.

I aint eating crow because I was right last week. I called out a player for his piss poor play and said he would beat us this week if we kept the same OLine. Did you notice Rhodes didn't start? Dunman did, and he did a great job, as I said he would last week.

Someone is listening to me in the coaches box.

Well, I was talking about where you pretty much guranteed a loss against VT in your "everything you ever wanted to know" post after the VPI game. I was trying to make a joke and I guess I failed horribly.

Your analysis about the LG position was spot on. I had doubts about Trey because I always have doubts about inexperienced players, but I'm extremely glad he proved me wrong.

I never guaranteed a loss. That was some other person who tried to put those words in my mouth because he couldn't argue the merits with what I was saying. I actually gave reasons at the end of that post about what we had to do to win. We pretty much did that and then some.

Whatever halluncinogens you are on, they are powerful.

#61, Matt Rhodes, started the game and was in for every offensive play as we built our 21-0 lead. He threw a couple of key blocks, on Reggie's 12-yard QB draw, and on Choice's first TD.

I haven't reviewed the tape of the rest of the game yet, so I can't tell you how wrong you were about that portion.

I don't want any crow eating by any Tech fans, only joyous celebration. But saying you were right about this game and about Matt is just nucking futs.

Here are your exact words:

"Finally, we won't beat VT. We're going to get our ass kicked for two simple reasons.

a.) Our Oline won't get the job done.

b.) Gailey does not have a killer instinct ..."

and

"... we won't get it done, because the weaknesses I pointed out will be horribly exposed at 3:30pm on Saturday."

Uhh, the few times I checked, Dunman was playing LG. I confirmed he was playing left guard when we were up 7-0. So you may want to go to the game film genius. #74 played LG for most of that game, and I believe he started since he was playing the majority of the 1st quarter.

Funny, both of the other boards also reporting Dunman started. I guess you just cannot stand me being right.

I already went to the film and I told you the results - #61, Matt Rhodes, started the game and played every offensive snap AT LEAST until we were up 21-0. I haven't reviewed the film past then.

What you are experiencing is called "denial".

Well, I know you are wrong now, because up 7-0 the next series Dunman was playing LG. That was the first time I took notice. He also played when we were up 14-0. I guess we'll have to wait until RamblinWreck.com posts who started which isn't up yet to see whose right. But he sure as hell didn;t play the entire time from 0-0 to 21-0. We even discussed it in the chat room during the game. There was like 4 people who took notice that #61 was not playing over Dunman. But go ahead, make your outlandish statements. You are very wrong.

Well, he ain't wrong about this.

No, he was not. There were only 3 plays in that possession and #61, Matt Rhodes, was at left guard for all 3.

That was the first time I took notice.

I think you mean, "That was the first time I took acid."

Left the board for a little bit and I hate to see what I've wrought. It's mainly my fault that a thread meant to praise the team got turned into some kind of bitter argument.

I am actually interested how Rhodes and Dunmon each did at the LG spot and how they looked, which would probably need a look at the tape. With all the crap these TV broadcasts have going on, it's pretty hard to find what OL played what down when and how each one did on the first viewing.

I FOUND #74!

He was in for 3 snaps early in the second quarter, our only "3 and out" of the first half. That was the only action he saw in the half. How this got turned into "He started.", "He played most of the first quarter.", and "He was in when we were up 7-0." is not clear.
