Very simply put, one of the MANY outstanding players that O'leary recruited asked Buck for a tryout at running back. He was not needed at running back last year, with Joe Burns, Sean Gregory, and others very ably manning that position.
The truly remarkable thing is to look out there Saturday night in the 4th quarter with the 3rd and 4th teamers out there and to truly realize just how much talent that Coach O'leary brought in. I am sure that Buck is very appreciative of that fact even if some of the (to use whiskey clear's term) unappreciative pissants on here are not.
