Bilbo starts 2003

We just returned to town, and I did not have a chance to share this till this evening. Take it as opinion and rumour only:

My son had an interesting conversation with a starting senior just before Christmas break.

According to the player,"Bilbo did not know the playbook well enough to start this year but next year, he will be the starter and Suggs will be on the bench."

I'm so confused!!!

Will he start or won't he?...

I think he will be the starter.. assuming he learns the position well enough to play it...

I wont mention any names, but there was another talented QB on the team between 1995 and 2000 that had the same problem... just couldnt learn the playbook.

Mike Vick also had some playbook issues until Dan Reeves "simplified" it. Maybe that's a direction that should be considered.

In most cases it's more the verbage than the logistics that get confusing.
