We really need to get this guy in some plays. Of course, I have learned (with some exceptions) that when something doesn't add up like this, there's usually a reason we just don't know about.

I must say, though, in the FSU pregame drills, he showed way less enthusiasm than the other players. He didn't run crisp routes on the pass drills, and it did not seem like he didn't know, it seemed like he didn't care. I hope that's not the case.

All the other guys, especially J Smith and Rashaun Grant, looked like they were taking it very seriously.

Maybe Bilbo has an injury I don't know about, who knows.

I hope Bilbo can find a place for himself. Dawan Landry ought to be a nice success story for him.

I really want to see him at LB. We are going to have a significant drop off at that position after this year. He fits the build, and if he's pissed, I'd like to see him take it out on somebody.

I dont know what the deal is, but supposedly hes too good to leave off the field, and there were some quotes in the newspaper in the past few weeks saying bilbo will get to play, but havent seen him much.

Also, he was considering transfering, but supposedly he was convinced to stay. if hes not gonna get any playing time, then maybe he should not have been encouraged to stay.

He was consistently the first one out on the field to congratulate the guys after a good play. THWG

Damarius is holding his cards close to his chest. Smart man. Ole Miss may be looking for a QB after the Manning years for next season and they're almost assuredly looking at a new head coach. State as well if they can run Sherrill off. I hope DBo stays but imagine he'll entertain offers after this season.

I'd like to see him back-up Ball at QB.I don't think he has his heart in any other position, but apparently loves Tech too much to transfer. I think it would be good for Reggie to get a breather occasionally. What is Chan's "plan B" for the QB position? AJ? Will Carter be red-shirted? We did put points on the board on the rare occasions when Bilbo got in a game. Remember Wake, the 2 quick TDs, then the hook. In defence of Bilbo's 4 INTs in the bowl game, he had to field a lot of rolling snaps from Reilly which through off his timing. I say move him back to QB, and give him a series or 2 a game, it would help take some of the pressure, mental and physical off Ball.

Since we are all speculating here, Bilbo is the one area where I think Gailey got it wrong this year. He obviously is not going to play him, despite his "he's too good to not be on the field" quotes (he made the same statement last year). Ball is his QB. Suggs is the back up. IHO, Gailey had to keep Bilbo in the program because of his leadership and the effect his transferring would have on the team. IMO, he told him whatever he needed to so he would stay. It worked but I doubt we see much of him in a game. He has shown a great attitude throughout this with his sideline leadership, but you can tell he wants to be a QB. If I was him, I would be at Ole Miss right now, sitting this year, waiting for Manning to graduate.

I don't understand his lack of PT...

Every Sunday, I watch the red-zone offense of the various pro teams, and they ALL throw timing patterns to their big/tall wide receivers who go over the top of smaler corners...

At a minimum, I'd think we'd have several of these plays to Bilbo (?)

I have also noticed that Bilbo, on the sidelines is the first to greet a player after a good play. He definitely seems to have his head in the game to me

Doesn't anyone realize that Ole Miss SUCKS????

Why would he want to go to a school where he KNOWS he's going to lose?

Even with their all-world QB, the best they can hope for every year is the Independence Bowl.

MS State is even worse.
Maybe he stayed at Tech because he has a chance to be part of a team that will actually win.

Hell, we beat Auburn, and he surely wouldn't have done that at either of the MS schools.

On a side note, I know it's his home state and everything, but Ole Miss is nowhere close to where Bilbo is from. Ole Miss is further away from Moss Point than LSU, Auburn, and Alabama, to name a few. In fact, Atlanta is just as close as Oxford is from Moss Point (about 360 miles).

If he were to go anywhere I think Southern Miss would be the best fit for him, and it is only an hour away from his home town.

To summarize - Ole Miss sucks. Nobody wants to play for a loser.

I think he could develop into a great TE. We really need a big body to go over the middle. We don't have anybody who can do that right now.

Guys, please, Bilbo's not going back to QB, and he's not going to be playing QB anywhere else. He's a WR, and if he was good enough, he'd be in there catching passes. There's obviously a reason he's not. I do plan on asking Gailey about Bilbo during the call in show, so if you want to hear it fomr the horses mouth, tune in.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Dude, that is pure speculation. The fact of the matter is, like the rest of us, you don't know jack. Bilbo will make a good WR. His QB days are over. Let him get adjusted to Wide out and he'll be a strong one for us.

I think Bilbo should play QB when we're at 1st and goal at the two. He could make that leaping QB sneak a lot better than Ball can.

Beernuts pegged it ,folks. He's not a QB anymore and he's learning the receiver position.
It is almost laughable to hear some folks talk about how big Bilbo is and all he has to do is "jump up and catch a pass".His hands have to be first rate to even catch any ball much less a "jump ball" where you know there is contact. He is not "that" big.Clemson has a top notch 6-4 guy and see how many balls he catches above a defender.Lastly he has to get down field to a advantageous position which requires cutting speed and receiver experience on how to find the "spot".I watched a 6-8 guy on a game who used that ability MUCH more than his height.
The truth is he may never play much again until these considerations are addressed..

Laughable ? To think that an excellent athelete, who is 6-3+,and ex-quarterback might develop the skills to be a possession type of receiver ?

Yea, you're right...That would be unheard of.

C'mon, Dbo! work yourself into the game!
