....blackout alert....

Also, I doubt the players will wear black. If this is a privately organized fan protest against Bowden and the AA gets wind of it, I can't see them letting the players wear black.

AA gets wind of it? Unless they have their heads in the sand, they have wind of it. It is being talked about in multiple reports. There are 20k supporters on facebook supposedly.

they're cornered... confused... angry...
I just can't believe that after 30 years, they get one bad season and its "he's got to go!" I think when Bowden leaves, it'll be the dark ages for FSU and how they wished he was back...

The problem is that it's not one bad year. They had a period where they were a dynasty. They competed in the national picture every single year and absolutely dominated their conference in rare fashion. In 2001, beginning with a 41-9 loss to a bad North Carolina team in Tallahassee, they began slipping and fell into what is, by Florida State's standards, mediocrity. Their expectations are that they compete for championships - period. There is nothing about that program at the moment that indicates that they are even close to heading in that direction.

I wasn't assuming that they hadn't heard of it. I just phrased it that way to point out that at the very least, I don't see the AA letting them wear black.

I'm confused why FSU fans feel the need to do something. If I was upset with the way an organization - and let's face it, FSU stopped being a university years ago - I wouldn't do anything to show my displeasure, I'd simply not show up. It's a big, prime-time Saturday night showdown, and the best way to show that a change is needed is to have a half empty stadium with zero atmosphere. Hell, show up wearing gold and openly cheer for the Yellow Jackets. I would never do something like this to my school, but as I said, FSU ceased function as an insitition of higher learning about a decade ago, and is now simply a soulless football machine. These people obviously don't love their school, or the traditions, they simply love winning.

They are going to be pumped coming into the game, reminds me of clemsons game last year, and I expect to win this game as well.

06-07 were also miserable seasons for the noles, they showed signs of life last year, but have clearly regressed since the 08 campaign and I think thats enough to warrant them to actively pursue his resignation,...

I also have to agree with gtcu17 that once Bowden leaves, things are gonna get worse before they get better

I think a few people around here will point to evidence from last week to contradict that statement.

ESPN 360 games were definitely blacked out...but the only ones that were, were the ESPN/ABC/ESPN2 games that were televised, so luckily I still got to watch MSU/GT. :)

So these guys are college students, right? And they need somebody to suggest that wearing different unis will get them fired up or make a difference or something, right?

Well $hit, fellas, we ain't that stupid, right?
