Bobby Dodd 5th toughest ACC stadium

the way BDS is setup we could have the same loudness as lane stadium IMO...

we just don't sell out and when we do it's because the opposing team bought a crap ton of tickets.

UNC over us seems more like an effort for a few more hits. All the times I've seen them on TV, I've never really seen that crazy of an atmosphere.

Is UNC really that tough?

O'Leary snapped a winless streak in Chapel Hole that went back to the 1940s. And a 13-13 tie at Kenan is why we shared the NC in 1990. It's a beautiful place to see a game, but it usually brings out the worst in GT football.

But Hooville is the absolute worst. I wish an earthquake would destroy that place.

seen any dropbears in australia?

I went to the UNC game 3yrs ago? (that we lost) and UNC was pretty poor back then I think below .500.

They had a surprisingly big and loud crowd given their record.

The writer is pretty weak IMO and always has a fairly screwy approach to whatever she's covering. UNC looks nice, but I don't know anyone who would say it's a tough place to play. I'd rank it pretty low, like 10 or thereabouts. State is pretty tough and UVA can be depending on whether they care about a particular game.

With Osceola and Renegade, the war chant ... this is college football.

She forgot to mention hookers, eight balls of coke, and future parolees as some of Doak's perks.

UNC has a crap stadium with poor fan support, no loudness, and shouldn't be above us on the list. VT, FSU, and Clemson all probably deserve to be above us, but if we start winning more, that may change.

ND players interviewed about BDS said it was "easily as loud" as any Big Ten stadium, including Michigan and Penn State. The remodeling, putting all the students into the EZs, and pushing the seats closer to the field, really increased the noise level on the field. It may not get as loud in the upper decks as Clemson, but where it counts, BDS is loud.

Kenan is the Dodger Stadium of college football. Great location and great scenery with fair-weather fans who show up late and leave early. For big games, it can get loud though.

If we start winning packing our stadium every home game, folks will really hate coming to ATL. Our place holds noise very well.

And our fan support has definitely grown over the last decade. Seriously grown. Even with frustrations about Chan. We just need a spark to ignite the powder keg.

NC State should be higher on that list. No way they're behind BC and Wake.

Disagree. Lane stadium is a bowl partially underground. There aren't any "holes" for the noise to escape (except up). While BDS@HGF is more enclosed than it used to be there are still openings, particularly in the South EZ.

F'ing A. I always enjoy an F$U road trip, several of my best memories of my 20's involve F$U, massive amounts of alcohol, and in a few select times, twins.

I've been to Wake Forest. People read the paper during day games. You can hear the signals being called on the field in the "worst" seats. They had no end zone seating at the time either.
