If he’s class of 2020? Then no he can’t. That just ain’t how it works.

He couldn't have on signing day 2020 either is my point. Got a ton of legit offers early, and they all evaporated because he either got hurt or didn't grow or whatever. But they didn't disappear from his profile. I don't like back and forths with a brick wall, so I will wish Bonica well and move on.

His point was that you are incorrect assuming that if a recruiting service shows an offer that the recruit can actually commit and sign with that school. Miles Friday did not have any offer from any of the schools that it says he does.

Because he’s looking at his recruiting profile. As long as he is a high school recruit, it will be on there. And when you click “show recruiting profile” it will show you his high school recruiting page.

Because you’re looking at his recruiting profile. If you look at his college profile, it won’t show those.

You still don't understand. I know that is his high school recruiting profile. The point is it shows he holds (held) offers from many schools, multiple P5 schools, when in fact he did not have any. If a kid reports an initial offer from a school, tweets it out, etc., these sites usually confirm if there has or hasn't been a verbal offer issued and will put that on the profile. They don't often go back and take them off way later in a player's recruitment if the offers are no longer valid or if they were never official. So the whole point is Bonica's profile showing that he holds offers from Tennesse, Kentucky, Miami, etc. is not accurate. It also shows he still holds an offer from GT but I can assure you he does not.

I can guarantee he still does hold an offer from us. We would be stupid to still not offer him because we still desperately need O Line. And again, he isn’t ranked in the top 100 O Linemen in the country for no reason.

He does not.

EDIT: and his "top 100 O linemen in the country" status is largely skewed by his ESPN ranking, which is by far the worst in recruiting analysis. They probably ranked him there initially because of his original listed size, 6'5" 345. The kid is near or over 400lbs now reportedly. That is not going to fly for anybody.

You guarantee he does? How so? Coaches aren't allowed to comment about it. Are they calling you specially?

Coaches aren’t allowed to comment on who they have or haven’t offered? Strange, hadn’t heard that before.

Seriously, man? This fact is coachspeak 101.
Here is a good interpretation of the rules from Stanford
