What I don't get is why does a program like TEXAS - top 5 IMHO - need to lock up an ASSISTANT??? This guy has NO head coaching experience. He might suck as a HC, and they're locking him up? Me thinks Texas can go hire who it wants when it has an opening. They did it with Mack! We hired a coach with D1 HC experience - why can't Texas???????

The BCS title game is SEC Champ vs. Big 12 Champ, there isn't much that could happen to change that. USC and Penn State are going to play weak teams, whereas SEC and Big 12 champs are going to finish the season by beating very good teams. Only way this wouldn't happen is a 2-loss champion for SEC or Big 12, not very likely, in that case, public opinion is not going to help that much. Also, it takes a attention off TT and Oklahoma this week and puts it back on Texas. Pure Machiavellian. Remember, assuming TT loses at Oklahoma, the Big 12 rep for the Big 12 champ and then BCSCG will be decided by popular opinion.

Muschamp move is to make sure they have stability with coaching staff.
