Bottom25

I have been fascinated by the automatic lowering goal posts since the first time I saw them. When you install them, what are you saying about your team? That you’ll get an upset win in a big game at home and this will prevent the tearing down of the goalposts? What if you install them and never need them? How sad might that be? Or, what if you are Alabama and never have such a win because you and Vegas think you’re better than everyone else and you never get the upset win? There is a very particular middle ground this product is aimed at

I imagine many teams install them as replacements after theirs get torn down. So you're not really saying anything other than, "Someone could have died there and we would be in big trouble, since we have to replace them anyway might as well do it with a safer version." Pretty sure that's what happened with us.

Ours aren't even automatic, are they? I seem to remember seeing them lowered after one game using long wooden poles to ease the uprights down. I remember thinking if there were actually a mob of fans going for the goalposts that method would probably be more dangerous than just letting them get torn down.

The obvious market for these things are constantly bad teams that play difficult schedules. Eventually there is going to be a gigantic upset and these things will come in handy.

VT's fourth turnover secured their loss avoiding the embarrassment of having to attempt a potential game winning field goal on the final play of the game. VT advanced to 18. BC moving on up...Northwestern in the bottom 10.
" The Hokies lost The ACC Bottom 25 Game of the Century of the Week to Georgia Tech 28-27, and as a result, the Yellow Jackets are no longer here, and the Hokies still are. This week it's Duke on the road ..."

The dark side of my brain really wants to see someone impaled on a snapped goal post. Kinda like what happens to Michael Cera in “This Is The End”.

Needless to say, I’m not a fan of the automatic goal posts.

Still drinking too much Wesley? Slow down and the demons will go away. Tech will rise again.

The Bottom 25 loses Vanderbilt this week thanks to the Commodores pulling off the upset over Kentucky and giving Clark Lea his first SEC win, but they're replaced by two new Power Five programs this week -- two programs that have been here in the past but make their first appearance in 2022..............Welcome, Stanford and Indiana!
(now acc, Big10 and Pac10again each have two..)
note- Va Tech surged to 14 working hard toward earning their rightful spot among the 12 bottom25 playoff teams.
#1 Umass faces Tex A&M this week.

Jooks like 7 P5's in B25 this week.
haven't seen so many since the Wuhan flu addled the brains and messed up schedules...
" We've reached the final week of the regular season, which means it's the final games that will impact The Bottom 25 Playoff. While Army and Navy will still have a game to play after this week, and both are hanging around The Bottom 25 universe, barring some spectacularly bad performances to finish the season, there's little chance either can qualify for one of The Bottom 12 spots available. there are still three spots up for grabs and at least 10 teams in contention for them.
