Bowls, CFP, and other Disappointing Games Thread

At this rate, we’re gonna watch more commericals than actual football.
You can do something about that, you know. Just pause and walk away, do something, then come back and watch bring able to fast forward thru the commercials.

Gee, a whole 29 seconds. WOW
I can’t tell if you’re serious or not. The FG iced the game. Yeah, Ohio State probably still would have won if they kneeled, but doing so gives Notre Dame the ball back down only one possession. I can think of an example from just last season of a team not doing the thing they needed to do to ice the game and it biting them in the ass.

Over here trying to give a catholic school a chance at a Hail Mary…

His whiny irrational rebuke of Ohio State's completely correct decision is retart

That was a pretty good game by two pretty good teams. Notre Dame rolled out a Full Johnson on the first drive, but Ohio State was not deterred and had a Half Johnson of their own to tie it.

After that, Ohio State was slightly better than ND, especially at the key positions of QB, WR, and RB. The lines were about even, imo.

ND did well to have a chance at the end, after it looked like the Buckeyes would run away with it, but they couldn't get over the hump. I mighta gone for it instead of taking the FG, bc even the FG would have still required them to score twice to win.

Good game tho.

Ohio State looked bigger and stronger, especially the Ohio State offensive line vs ND's DL.

That stud DL that went out several games ago for ND had a big impact on the physicality of ND's DL.

I'm not big fans of McIlroy and Herbstreit and think both of them need to stay in the booth because they wouldn't make it in coaching.

I watched the first half and thought at the first of game that ND must blitz OSU. I changed my mind. OSU's OL and QB had prepared well for the blitz and were picking it up. The OL blocked well and the QB knew where to throw the ball to get single coverage or no coverage. So as they came out the second half, I felt ND should blitz some but not much and particularly not on third and long when they didn't need it to stop the run.

Per my eye, ND continued to blitz and continued to get burned, particularly on 3rd and long. I mention Herbstreit because his second half start was that ND had to blitz. Wrong again.

Watched the pat McAfee and SVP broadcast with fake lou holtz. Was by far the most entertaining commentary I've heard in awhile and I actually don't care for McAfee.

Either team could've won the game. People act like some of these playoff game outcomes were fate but I bet if you did a best of 5 for many of the games, it would end up 3-2

I actually think McAfee makes pretty good analysis. Watched him Texas vs OSU and was surprisingly impressed. Wish I would have watched that instead.
