Bowls today

Vanderbilt has only been to 8 bowl games all time. 8. How is that possible?
It's easy to forget that from 1982-2008 Vanderbilt was an utter dogshit program. The comparison that immediately comes to mind is the Pittsburgh Pirates but Vandy was horrifically bad for a good decade longer than the Bucs.

If I'm honest, I worry that we aren't going to show up for the bowl game, and I hate not having Marshall available as a home run hitter, but I ain't scared of Kentucky.

Not showing up for JfT's final game would honestly surprise me. The way this team closed out the season, it would be nonsense for them to not show up now.

Go öööö yourself.

"It ends with a bang!"

Is that what that was?

Yeah, I know, but outside of the Orange Bowl in '14, it's ALWAYS a question.

Yeah, but I get the same vibes from this team as I got from that one going into the game. The offense isn't the all-time most efficient in the land like it was that season, but this team is definitely coming to play.

The UL loss to UK was brutal. 7-3 looks good but that game coupled with UT spanking coastal champ VT is an easy counterpoint for them. Typical VT creeping their way atop the Coastal while embarrassing the conference in OOC games.

At least we beat them and shit our big boy pants in conference.

We beat Vandy who beat UT who beat VT who we also beat. We own Vandy, VT, and UT. We run this state, and Virginia, and Tennessee.

VT should be able to take down Arky - plays well into Foster's hands. I don't see Louisville taking down LSU - just too much athleticism on LSU's defense for Jackson to run wild. I'm not sure how I feel about our game with Kentucky. Obviously, Stoops has some history with our offense. I don't really know anything about Kentucky other than the fact that they have a great running back.

They hammer the ball a lot. Two decent RBs. They run to set up the pass, but their QB isn't that good. Somehow went off against Louisville but he's got the same completion % as JT5 on the year (55%). IIRC Towles started their last year and then transferred to BC for his grad year. And it's not like he was that good. So we'll have our hands full stopping the run, but we can probably stack the box without their QB burning us too bad.

Basically, we're playing UGA again with a worse defense?
