By the Way, in replying to John Davis's post and then running off on a food tangent, let's not forget while in his area of the state to remember the "Sorghum Syrup Festival" at Blairsville, GA. I always pick up a case of the best danged sorghum this world can produce while up there. Comes up in October for three (3) weekends at the Blairsville Civic Center. If you have never been there, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.
In October at our house we celebrate breakfast with:
Country Ham & Redeye Gravy
Eggs (and lots of them)
Hot Grits w/butter
Cathead biscuits w/butter and SORGHUM SYRUP
Coffee (enough to make it through)
That's all you need to set out on a glorious day.
Enjoy this fall everyone, cause I surely will.
